Vote Virgin for Virgins!

I'm honestly thinking about going with el Virgin but I hate Richard Branson. I hate his beard and hate his hair and hate how 'posh' he is.

I'm really turned on by the cheap rates and that one android phone with 3D.

Cell reception issues...

Hey ppl! Ok, so Im having an issue... I have had virgin mobil before, and I actually really did like it alot. I just canceled my verizon service for my area, because I barely got any service at my house, and it was too much for too little. Besides, their customer service was horrible... Anyways, I love my new virgin phone, but at my house it is still a bad service area, and I cant seem to find a booster for virgin. Any ideas or thoughts?

Siren Sound From Optimus V

This is the second forum I have posted this question. I have searched the Internet and have not found anything so I thought I would try this forum. The other day I was getting something out of my car and leaned against the car with my Optimus V between me and the car. I was in the city and started to hear what sounded like a police siren. It was a little different but very loud. I stood there for about 20 seconds and didn't see any police car. Then I realized my phone was making the noise. I kind of paniced and just wanted it to stop. But before I hit the power switch I saw on the screen something about SCREAMING... Since it was in my pocket I don't know how it was activated but I must assume it was from one or more hard keys. The phone woul...

Virgin Mobile Is The WORST Company I've Ever Dealt With

I've been with Virgin Mobile and since the beginning i've had nothing but issues. First when I signed up, when I registered my Debit Card so i could top up from my phone, I clicked the box requesting that they not charge that card unless I authorized them to. Lo And Behold, they went ahead and charged it anyway. Everytime I have to call in, the service is deplorable which is why i prefer to go online to proceed. My reasoning behind them being the worst company i've dealt with...and i've had a few is that in November I purchased straight from THEIR website a Rumor 2. It's had it's issues on and off, resetting itself, missing messages, not allowing me to see mms messages, but the issue has progressed to the point where when I tried to read tex...

VM versus TING and coverage?

I have been checking out a new MVNO called TING (Google it for more deets).

So far, they seem perfect for me. No contracts, a la carte choices/billing and they have the coverage of Sprint network. Their coverage map is the same as Sprint's.

I was also considering VM. But their coverage map looks terrible for me. I'm in NJ but do travel.

TING and VM are on the Sprint network so shouldn't VM's coverage map look the same as Sprint's map on their website?

HTC Evo V leading to higher charges???

Just purchased an Evo V for VirginMobile.

I'd been on the $35/mo (300 voice minutes plus unlimited data) plan - auto deducted from credit card.

I NEVER use up all 300 voice minutes. A day after I purchased the Evo and switched over to it, I ran out of minutes...

I went online to top-up, and decided to just reset the billing cycle to "today."

Lo and behold: email verification arrived. It claimed I'm still on the $35/month plan, but the total charge was _$50!!_

Fine print indicated they're charging $15/mo to activate the wifi hotspot in the Evo.

Instantly I complained to customer service in email. I'd read nothing about that charge while doing due diligence before purchasing the handset, and there's nothing I could find onlin...

Googletalk and virgin mobile pay as you go incoming calls?

I am in the US and called a friend in Canada via my gmail where it says that us and canadian calling is free of charge. My friend says they have free incoming calls, so it shouldve been free, yet he got charged. Is that a mistake? What's wrong here? Who can we talk to?

Blackberry's

Which models of Blackberry can be used on Virgin's network? Are there any that will work if they are unlocked or do they have to be made for Virgin?

Virgin? Boost? And the Phone?

Hey, gang. It's the dude from Texas again, hoping some of you all can help clear up a few things that popped up, ironically, while doing my homework for a new phone.
So here's the deal. I've been with Cricket for 2 years, and notwithstanding some customer care issues(after reading some of y'all's posts, it looks like I'm not alone), I've been pretty satisfied.
I now feel that I'm emotionally and mentally prepared to "graduate" to an Android smartphone. This decision did not come without a lot of introspection and deep thought. My therapist was involved, and she agrees with my decision 🤨 .
Okay, enough screwing around. Anyway, I'd like to stay with one of the "no-contract" carriers, preferably Boost Mobile because o...

Couple Questions...

I'm thinking about giving Virgin Mobile a try. I'm currently an AT&T iPhone 4 user and am looking at the Motorola Triumph on the $55 unlimited plan. A few questions...
-Does anyone know about any new Android phones that may be released soon with Virgin?
-I'm thinking about getting the plan & phone and try it for a trial. How long do I have to return the phone if I don't like the service?
