PDA/Smartphone?

Are there any PDA/Smartphone type devices out for Virgin Mobile? I am looking for a windows mobile device if one exists, but have not seemed to have had any luck.

If there are none available, does anybody know if a phone from Sprint or Verizon can be flashed to work with Virgin? And as a last resort, can I use a Virgin Mobile Canada phone (Blackberry or the such) on a US Virgin Mobile plan?

Any advice would be appreciated. I am trying to find a decent prepaid plan with unlimited voice and data...having little to no results.

Cell problem

I have had this Virgin Mobile 'LG' pre-paid for about two years now and this is the first time having problems with it.

I don't know if it's a feature I have overlooked, bad battery, being locked onto a bad cell tower or just the phone itself that has gone bad.

It started about three days ago.

1. Incoming calls go straight to voicemail.

2. Outcalls get a busy signal and I get a message pop-up saying 'Bad Service' (something like that)

3. This happens daily, but not always, but more than I like.

Don't know If this happened to someone else and can be fixed or should I just drop the $20.00 for a new phone.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

A new deal

Ive had a virgin phone for awhile now and have been pretty happy. However i just read that there are going to introduce a new plan for low income customers. It will provide 120 minutes for 10 bucks. Now that sounds like a good deal; however i probably wont qualify as low income. And i do not think it is fair for them to only offer to a certain group of people. I therefore call of you to action to write to virgin as i have and ask for policy change with this plan.

Virgin Mobile all the way...

I have been a Virgin Mobile customer, but decided to trial Boost to see if I could save a little money. I bought the Clutch and tested it for a few days. While I loved the phone and how it was set up, I had a dropped call. I also tested it out for text messaging, because I have another phone. Several texts to and from the phone were never received. I had really high hopes for Boost and wanted to give it the old college try, but I am disappointed and will be taking the phone back. I have had Virgin Mobile for over a year now, and never, ever, had any problems. Calls are always clear, never dropped calls, and texts always go through. I got the X-TC phone, and while the keyboard is a little cramped, the phone is a workhouse and again very depen...

Ocean 2 / OZ2 - how much longer?!?!

Is anyone else sick of waiting for Pantech's successor to the Ocean?!?! I've had the Ocean for over a year and a half! 👿 I don't care about an ETF...if there was another phone out there with another carrier that I "had to have" - I'd be GONE!!!!! But, since there's not...I'm looking at new phones that pretty much do what the Ocean "did" a year and a half ago!
Ugh...I hate waiting! 😎

Big Wildcard Black Friday Deal

Kyocera Wildcard text phone, normally 99.99, will be selling for 39.99 at Target on Black Friday, day after Thanksgiving. This is according to www.blackfriday.org.

I have one, and while it has a few shortcomings, I like it overall. Great for texting. Virgin Mobile has competitive packages too.

Just wanted to pass it on!

Slice phone and Virgin Mobile

The Slice phone I possess has good qualities such as size, useability, features, screen size and picture quality, and it is attractive. The pay as you go plan is extremely convenient.

However . . .

1) The rights to this phone (and others that Virgin offers) are owned by Virgin Mobile completely which means that you cannot download any free ringtones, wallpaper, games etc. that are not offered through Virgin Mobile, meaning of course, that you have to pay to play. I tried looking for a sync kit for use with my phone and computer . . . forget about it. They aren't available.

2) My phone will not charge beyond one bar. I contacted customer service and asked for a replacement battery (since my phone is under warranty) and they sent me...

Short-term stay

I'll be in the US for a month or two and would like a cheap option so VMs Pay-As-You-Go sounds good. Do I just go to a VM store and buy a phone and air time? There's really no contract? I can just use if for a couple of months and take it with me or give it to a friend when I leave?

I'll probably just get the Aloha or Marbl so it sounds good if there really aren't any hidden costs.

what happened?

I had Virgin about 3 years ago and had the best reception anywhere. I used to work in the mall and at my store I was the only one to get service. I used to brag about the quality of service. Well this summer I left my current service with US Cellular because of the cost. I purchased a Virgin and can not get good service anywhere. My friends complained they couldn't hear me and my calls were constantly dropped. I even switched phns (in case this was the issue, it wasnt). Finally I couldn't stand it anymore and went back to US Cellular. What happened to Virgin's service? It sucks big time.

How does the monthly plan thing work for VM?

How does the Monthly Plans work for VM? I mean like how do you go to pay them, for example, do they send you like a bill every month or do you need a credit/debit card to use it or can you get a Monthly plan without a bank account?
