Uploading Ringers and Wallpaper to Virginmobile Phones

OK how do I upload MY OWN ringers and wallpaper to my virginmobile phone (slice)

Its not the prices that bother me (there only bad if you want a lot of them I don't) its that they have absolutely nothing of even remote interest to me :-)

Suggestions?

Oystr battery life

So I hear everyone complain about the Oystrs battery life being absolutley horrible. Well, I was having that same problem. It took me awhile to figure it out but I was sittin in my car at night and noticed that the backlighting on the keys would shut off when I closed it and then come back on about 5 seconds after it was closed and stay on.

I ended up just turning the backlighting off and my battery life has been great since.

Now I figured it was just a problem with my phone but I thought I might post this just in case.

PCS

why does virgin mobile have PCS-only phones, have they put into account that the the 800mhz network is larger in the U.S. than PCS, i think it would be wise to have dual band phones so they can work in more places.

Canada- Virgin Mobility- AWESOME!

I love Virgin Mobility!

You can’t beat Virgin’s pay-as-you-go prices! $0.40 per day and $0.10 per minute airtime...OR… $0.25 per minute airtime. Free call display and message centre. And to save charges, you can check your voice messages on a landline for free! What a deal for the occasional user.
You even get a $10 credit when you activate the phone. They also have a referral program, where you get an additional $10 when somebody sends you a referral prior to activation. You get $10, and so does the person sending you the referral and you may send 10 referrals per year...that's a $100 bonus! I can send you a referral, if you’d like the $10 bonus.

SPAM from VM

For the past several months I've been receiving 15 to 30 SPAM text messages from VM. I've called them (they say "tough" it's their "right" to SPAM me). I've emailed them -- they write I can "turn it off" (but I can't), and they continue.

All the SPAM is their own, but I work 3rd shifts. They wake me in the middle of MY night. I'd registered with the "DO NOT CALL" registry, but I suppose "text" messages don't count. They say it doesn't cost me anything, but it DOES (in time and effort deleting all this unsolicited commercial BS).

How do I get them to stop? File complaints with the FCC? Complain to Richard Branson (I have his address)?

I've threatened to go elsewhere for service, but where I live there aren't many (any) choices...

How does Virgin Mobile stack up?

How does Virgin Mobile stack up against Tracfone for someone who only uses their phone for emergencies and a few conversations a month?

Slice + OYSTR ringtones.

I may be buying a Slice or OYSTR for someone for Christmass and, for no reason I can see, they really want Jingle Bells as a ringtone. Do either of those phone have jingle bells as a preloaded tone? If not, does the VM ringtone store have it? Also which one (slice or oystr) is better for reception and sound quality?

thanks a bunch 😁

Contest To Win Sweet Stuff

Virgin Mobile is dishing out gobs of goodness under the codename Project 68405. You have to find secret codes and text them to 68405. The codes are located in Virgin Mobile commercials, in gnarly music videos and other crazy places. Just check out:

Private Caller on Virgin Mobile?

Hi Everyone,
I've had Virgin mobile for a few months now, today I got a call from a private number, I did not answer, but when I checked my "missed calls" it said it was unavailable.
From what I understand private is someone who intentionally dials *67 when calling your number, and unavailable are telemarketers, so why would it show up as private when ringing on my caller ID, and then unavailable on my missed calls?
Thanx-Luna!
