Txt msg drafts don't save, voice recorder annoying

The "Drafts" function doesn't let you save drafts of text messages. It forces you to send the text message after you write it. Maybe it's intended for email use, but since I don't have an email server set up, it gives me an error message. The voice recorder is annoying to use because to play it, you have to navigate using the open clamshell position, but it doesn't play on the speakerphone. So, you have to quickly ...

Yes, "Quick Notes" will do it

Thanks for looking up the "Quick Notes" feature, Yoda! This was exactly what I was looking for. You can use this feature to build text message templates or just to jot down notes. I didn't think to try it since when I opened the "Quick Notes" app, it had a bunch of preset text message templates. Just an FYI, the "Drafts" function doesn't let you save drafts of text messages. It forces you to send the ...

I am also experiencing your disappointment. I couldn't find the auto lock feature either. I guess it doesn't have one.

I realize it's a new phone. That's why people haven't reported this defect more. They may not have noticed that their phone stays on even though it's in the closed position. I had a second return today. I think I'm mostly pissed because I have to tell my customers to contact Motorola for the repair, which takes a few days. It makes me look bad and it makes verizon look bad.

Not user friendly

I miss my Sony Ericsson... This Motorola doesn't seem to be well thought out. 1) There's no autolocking of the external keypad. You have to manually lock it by pressing down-star every time you put it in your pocket. That's annoying! 2) No recurring alarms. Each time the alarm goes off, you have the option of snooze or disable. If you disable, it won't ring again until you enable it again. Menu-diving stinks. It should have recurrent ...

DON'T BUY: Doesn't turn off when closed

I'm a verizon dealer, and these phones are starting to come back for return because the button at the top of the screen doesn't get pushed when the phone is closed. The phone doesn't turn off when closed. VERY BAD DESIGN!
