Re: Sprint/Nextel Merge Part 2?

I dont think the networks will merge they may keep the entity seperate as like sprint handles virgin mobile / boost mobile but they would expand the network as well as revamp business practices. Just IMHO.

Sprint services about 48 to 49 million subscribers under their umbrella, T-mobile just is about 33+ million?

It is not a Material change it is a Benefit that is changing on sprints end. Sprint overall DOES NOT have to give this to any customer. That is why it isnt a ETF waiveable event.

Incorrect. Verizon CEO stated they went after the Iphone but Apple wanted to create the phone for GSM technology first due to International use. There was a new post somewhere (phoenscoop or phonearena) stating this.

It isnt a mistake because other carriers are still more expensive the churn rate will be low, yeah there be a lot of complaining but everyone will pay it and sprint makes more money.

This phone actually usees a new technology to reduce delayed text messaging as IDEN has been suffering in the past. I think its a nice looking phone and a good price point for the Nextel customers.

That is EXACTLY WRONG. Sprint's CEO said he would "consider" tiered pricing IF there was a spectrum crunch. That is nowhere near what you are saying. And guess what "advertising that they offer unlimited data compared with other providers" is EXACTLY WHAT THEY DO! The only data product they offer that isn't unlimited is 3G data on a connection card only. You get unlimited 4G on connection cards and unlimited 3G/4G on phones... and they advertise it. That is correct, ...

Honestly, isnt Wimax and LTE simular enough to convert to either? Sprint builds out Wimax then decides to migrate to LTE i figure the cost would be drastically lower then initial build out basically putting sprint in a good position to migrate and keep up and still released the first next generation data network before everyone else. Right?

I wish they would of changed the slide out keyboard by 90 degrees and made the screen 3.5 inch instead of the same size. Sigh, though glad the OS is updated but still not going to get another one.

Re: Hero or Intercept

in the HTC Hero (CDMA) forum

Intercept is a nice device and isnt as bloated with software as the Hero though rooting it gives you the option to remove a lot of the Sprint installed stuff you wont need. I have the intercept and so far give it 7 out of 10 mainly due to the low resolution screen. Speaker in it is fantastic and call quality is great!

Odd.

How much do you pay a month? For two lines with Sprint from what their website says and no bells or whistles for addons. You can get Unlmited everything for $189.98 before taxes.
