My only problem with this is that as it is people hate spending any kind of money on a phone. They want inexpensive.....except for those that actually know what they're buying. If we go to no subsidies and people are spending $400 to $600 for a phone, the manufacturer better make sure that phone won't be obsolete after a few months and it better be a quality product. Otherwise there'll be hell to pay

I agree with you "HatesBlackberrys". It'll never happen. Apple is unfortunately too important to the ecosystem of cellular right now. But, I do think Apple should have a hefty fine to pay. On the other hand Aplle is constantly trying the same thing against companies like Samsung and HTC. Stopping Samsung from importing their phones to the US would be just as bad. Seems like Apple is getting a taste of their own medecine ...

What did we do before we had DVR and Netflix. We watched tv when we could. If we missed a show then, oh well, thats too bad. We went to movies or rented movies. Eskeebel, talking to Tether is like talking to a child. He/she says the same thing over and over again. Its ok to be a verizon fanboy, but its not ok to be an at&t fanboy. Where were all the verizon fanboys when their network went down last month...or the month before that? They were probably going through the withdrawl shakes.

Im not a networking expert as well but I do know that at&t has put a tremendous amount of money into expanding its network. Im not saying what theyre doing is right, but its much better than the vague 5% policy they started with.
I also have to say that just because at one point you signed up for something called unlimited data that doesnt mean that for the rest of your life you can abuse amount ...

at&t spent $20 billion on network enhancements in 2011 bringing a 25% improvement in dropped calls.
Verizon charges their customers more than at&t for their services as well, is running on an archeic CDMA netwrk, has very little international footprint and still lacks the simultaneous voice/data.

Amen....if you're so upset over throttling at 2GB then just switch to the 3GB plan. Its unlimited at slow speeds vs limited at fast speeds you have a choice to make. There is an option. The fee is not for the agent that is performing the upgrade, its for at&t themselves. If it were for the store, then it would be charged to you at the time of your upgrade.

I think the reason Shoptalk is always so empty is because there are sales people who think they are too awesome for words. If you vent about a customer situation, they are always there to tell you how they would have dealt with the situation differently and what you should've done.

I agree....the screen resolution on a 2.8 inch screen is awesome. 5 MP camera is awesome....apple also has 5mp camera on it. Higher resolution, more RAM and memory plus the 1.2 GHz processor definitely sounds like improvements. Look at blackberry from 4 years ago and look at Blackberry now and tell me theres no innovation.
