Check Verizon's website for a list of countries. Before using it, you must call customer service and have international dialing added to your phone. It's a one time thing and a software item added on their end. I have used my VZW phone in Mexico for several years and will be using it in Peru this summer.

I know that Verizon is selling a 1GB card. I have heard that a 2GB is coming. If so when?

Boston area stores.....

I visited one Boston area VZW store very close to my office and called two others near my home and none of them have the Q yet. I guess this area is at the bottom of the food chain. :(

My wife and I are on an America's Choice Family Share Plan and I would be just adding an Unlimited Data Plan to my line when I purchase this phone.

I have been a Verizon customer for 17 years. I have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. Mexico and Canada and their phone service, coverage, and voice quality is the best. I can't speak specifically about broadband, but here is the U.S. with EV-DO it should be great. The phone will not work in Europe, but there are a number of Asian countries that it will work in. I will be buying this phone as soon as it ...

My contract that I last got the $100 discount was done in January of 2005. At that time I signed a new two year contract. I redid my contract last month when I switched from a North America's Choice Plan to an America's Choice plan. The cost of my plan is higher than $79.99 per month and always has been. Under the merits program, am I able to get the $100 discount towards the purchase ...

I talked with a Verizon dealer about a week ago and he felt that they would price the Q aggressively. No number was stated.

Calling to-from Puerto Rico
Apr 3, 2006, 1:54 PM
in the Article: Verizon Sheds Latin American Assets forum

After the sale is completed, will existing VZW stateside customers, who call Puerto Rico still be able to call there as part of the Americas Choice plan? I also travel to Puerto Rico on a regular basis. Now with my Americas Choice plan I do not incur long distance or roaming charges while in Puerto Rico. Will that still be the case after the sale is completed?

Re: vx7000 VS vx6100

in the LG VX-6100 forum

I just bought the VX6100 yesterday. It just shows the number and, in addition, the name if you have it programmed into your contact list. It is in black and white. I chose this phone over the VX7000 for two reasons. The VX6100 has analog and I still travel to some rural areas on business and would be without coverage if I didn't have it and I wanted a speakerphone, which the VX7000 does not have. ...

Yes it is and the website also says

that it is available only at your local Radio Shack store. When I put in my zip code all stores show that they are temporarily out of stock and I live in a major city.

I was recently traveling with a client who had Nextel. In rural areas he had poor or no service. Recently he switched to Verizon. I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for 15 years and have traveled a great deal around the country. They have the best coverage and I have never had a problem with customer service.

Re: Analog Roaming.

I still have a trimodal phone. Here in Boston analog is not necessary, but when I get into the rural areas of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont and off the beaten track in those states I need it. Last year I went to Santa Fe and Taos in New Mexico. Santa Fe was all digital, but Taos was analog. If you are in rural areas frequently, you might want to still have it, otherwise it shouldn't ...

This phone can be purchased new from Verizon Wireless for $79.99 after rebate. Why are you asking so much?

My daughter lives in Brooklyn near Queens and just switched from Verizon to T Mobile because of price and says that her signal strength is better with T Mobile from her apartment.
