is there a way to set the status light to show only one color for doff incoming numbers?? if not then why the hel is it so many dif colors????

vzw doesnt even inform there cc reps about stuf flike this properly, belive its not going anywhere at all except home wiht customers, vzw favors this phone over the vx6000 fo rmany reasons and the ne wsoftware is availbe, oh ya vzw customer service told me the vx7000 was due out in dec 2003 so that shows wut they know

8900 not recalled ..... duh

the 8900 had minor software issues, the new flash software is avaible and if there not on the shelves in any vzw store yet it cuz they havent flased all the stock yet, its not being recalled or disocntinued, just needs new software which is avaible very simple thing, people jump to to many conclusions and for the record the exact issue was mismatched mdn/min numbers in the programming that affected the abilty to acess mobile web, gin, ...

you are in correct they jus tneed new software flashed in, they phone is still being sold and vzw cc wil confirm this..... you need to get facts before you post and make a a$$ out of yoursefl anymore then you already have

they pulled them form the shalves till they all could get flashed with new software, it not a recall and wut does motorolla hav eot do with a audiovox phone??? and yes when phones need software the pull them form the shelves tillt hey can get flashed

if it snot on the webisite (which i see it just fine) then they havent flashed all the inventory yet, its bakc on shelve sin stores that got all the inventory flashed also

phones just needed to be flashed not sent back..... you ppl need to get your storys straight, ths is from vzw tech support and store reps, the new flash software is avaible and the phones are back on the website, they we never planning on nixxing them completly (sorry all you ppl bashing this phone) and to whoever said sale ssuck for the 8900 i have no idea where you got your info cuz they sold ...

its a software issue that will be resolved wiht the new software flash, its supposed to be avaible this week somtime, so they will still be selling it

theres a small flash adapter but the audiovox website says it wont work ont he verizon model... wonder why? it plugs int he headset jack on the top part

yes moto v 810 and lg vx7000 at least 4- 5 months away based on when the fcc aproved the id, i think the only thing about the 8900 that is a step down from the LG vx6000 is the main display is only 65k colors, 8900 has many features vx6000 doesnt have, all these 8900 bashers are upset cuz they have the vx6000 and cant upgrade yet =8P, my building i work in is right under a ...

vzw phones normally get relaeased 6 months after the fcc aproves the id, so like aprila t soonest for the v810 and mor elike jun-july for the lg vx7000, theres no way its gonan be out in january like somone else posted, besides vzw tryign to push the 8900 and vx6000 right now, 8900 is currently having sw issues but the new software will be availbe to be flashed end of this week, sorry ...

its off the site for a few days cuz they need new software flased in, it will be avaible later this week, and it nothing compared to all the sw issues the vx6000 had (and still does) when it first came out

you can email your self midi files to use as ring tones and not pay for them, also you can send them in a pic mssg with the mms, so you dont need to pay for any ring tones. all you people trashing this phone id liek to hear why? all you have to say is this sucks and never why? its tri mode unlike the vx 6000, and its got speaker, more picture space, bigger screen, ...

the v810 does not have video capabilty, and i would be astonished if a phone came out not even 3 months after the fcc aproved the id, more like may if we are lucky
