These are Android , right?
Are these Android phones? If so what number Android?
Re: No point for this phone
Agreed. Seems weird when Samsung already has this space covered unless there's a very specific price point that the Fan Edition reaches that others don't. Really no point.
So much so that there was no s22 FE.
Samsung has the lack of headphone jack and SD card card slot covered with the Xcover line of phones. They even have removable batteries.

Re: S21 Has No Memory Card Expansion Slot?
I agree. There should be the option for a memory card. This will influence where I spend my money. I want integration. Compatibility. High quality.
All of these things can be accomplished without copying Apple. Samsung , please go your own route instead of following Apple.
Re: Why so big? 5.8" screen like S10e would be perfect
When looking at availability , there seems to be plenty of smaller screen options for premium cell phones.
I personally hope the trend towards bigger screen size continues. I'm hoping Samsung decides to cross the 7 inch barrier that they flirt with but seem reluctant to cross.
Re: No Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra ?
Thank you Rich. I personally would like a 6 inch or larger phone , but no company will release one specifically for the US.
No Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra ?
The larger phone has been withheld from the US market?
And of course the version that is available has been crippled when it comes to US LTE bands.
Huawei continues streak of offering few phones in US
Wonderful phones. Great features. Who knows , they may even be reasonably priced - if they sold them in the USA.
Re: Just a faster way to gobble up data
This would be true 5 years ago but the OP is correct.
Re: Very nice but...
Please , no more 5 inch phones. There are an enormous amount of choices for phones 5 inches and smaller. I hope the trend continues towards bigger phones and more choices in size.
Re: what if....
How about Bluetooth?
My new phone
Zenfone 3 Ultra( I think this is the 6.8 model according to the press release ). Looks like a winner. I hope there are some good cases and accessories for this.
Do these phones support microSD cards?
Too big for you , not everyone
The overwhelming majority of phones that you have to choose from are smaller than 6 inches. Why comment on this one being too big when you have SOOOOO many more to choose from?
I don't care for the smaller phones but there are endless choices if you like the sub 6 inch screens. Have some sympathy for the big screen crowd. Slowly but surely the world has moved to bigger scenes. Check the iPhone. The Note. The Galaxy S ...
I hope this comes to the US
I have the Huawei Accend Mate II and it's been very reliable ( after early problems ) with a huge screen and enormous battery. This would be a great follow-up.
For some reason , major phone manufacturers seem reluctant to make phones larger than 5.7 inches. An upper level , high spec 6 inch+ phone would be nice to see ( with a microSD slot , sorry Nexus6 2014 )
Re: Sprint Offers 50% OFF T-MOBILE ($200.00 Is Nothing)
Except for unlimited plans. And Sprint does not do streaming of music and video that won't count against your data allotment. There are more extras that Sprint does not provide versus T-Mobile but these stand out.
Re: Not True
It's not just Phonescoop that keeps getting it wrong as far as when T-Mobile began offering Wi-Fi calling. Almost every article on other tech sites that brings this up says T-Mobile recently began offering Wi-Fi calling - wrong.
And , strangely , no correction from T-Mobile or their very vocal CEO.
Apple , a filthy rich company for a reason !
Nothing comes for free. And nothing comes cheap.
I wonder how much of their business is the US government?
When you see these prices and wonder : Who would pay that? When there's no competition and your biggest customer is the US government , I guess you can be really unreasonable with your rates.
Apple will give the consumer more choice and Android won't?
Windows phone allows removal of bloat (out of the box) , Apple is talking about doing it ,.and Android is ignoring what people have been begging for ( out of the box , no root necessary - not "deactivating" an app ; REMOVAL )
This phone offers a lot , but no Band 12?
With so many features and the target audience being unlocked device buyers on T-Mobile and AT&T , why no Band 12?
No contracts. No subsides. No value.
Verizon is not showing leadership in the face of competition.
T-Mobile started the "no contract" , "payment plan for your device" deals.
Now , Verizon is just following along.
Basically , the same as T-Mobiles'
Two lines , unlimited text , voice and data for $100. T-Mobile limits both lines to 7GB tethering each line.
What's Sprint's limit?
Please!!!NO!!!
With Comcasts' customer service reputation being so poor , I can't see this being a plus for T-Mobile US.
A Zen Phone One M10 ?
This would be interesting.
Would the combined company be more competitive and innovative?
P8 Lite? Why no regular P8?
Why is the US getting the watered down , weaken version and not the flagship? What gives Huawei?
Looks like a great phone - for the price!
This seems to be a great deal - what's the downside?
Re: Followed your link: Price $449.00
Thank you.
Followed your link: Price $449.00
Tried it January 8 , 2015 3:35am EST - No sale.
You have to root Android to uninstall programs
You can disable not uninstall. Be clear. Not the same at all.
I love Android , but the truth hurts
On my Windows laptop , or my daughters Windows Phone , I can delete or add programs/apps as much as I would like - without having to root the device.
Yes there are default programs , but there is more freedom out of the box than Android.
Will Metro PCS sell the Galaxy Mega 2?
While T-Mobile never sold the Galaxy Mega , Metro PCS did carry this device.
Will Metro PCS offer the GM2 as well?
Gethuawei.com website has MAJOR problems
Phone may or may not be a good phone but website has MAJOR problems and if you call the support 800 number they are awful as well.
Removable Battery & Removable Memory = More Sales
It's that simple.
People like the build materials and quality is o.k. So close , yet so far away.
Will wifi calling be available?
I have read all the info that I can find and see no references to this T-Mobile feature on the updated GSM variant.
It takes time "to evolve into one LTE base"
Charles Bigelow said:
OK, thanks.
I understand. Impractical though then. Why put AWS 1700 and 1900 on the same phone if eventually LTE will be the norm?? Just for now?
If AT&T would have merged with T-Mobile, then there would have been no worries in that department. So now they have to start tweaking a whole line of phones for interoperability on a network that is going to evolve into one LTE base in the future? Maybe I am missing something ...
50% of "Big 4" push "unlimited data" hard
It doesn't look like unlimited data is going south if you look at T-Mobile and Sprint.
Sirrius/XM
It's garbage to you. What do you do if you are in a place where you get no cell phone signal and you don't want to listen to your library of music? Satellite radio maybe?
T-Mobile
This can be uses in areas where the network has been refarmed to 1900mhz.
DUOPOLY.
Other companies bid at the auctions everytime , but the results don't change. AT&T and Verizon.
DUOPOLY.
Not good for consumers. Ultimately , not good for business either.
And this helps the consumer how???........
I guess higher prices , less choices , and a duopoly is a good thing. The bigger the company, the better the lobbyist.
