Weird Al
All this reminds me of the song 'Sue Ya' by Weird Al Yankovic. If you haven't heard it you should. It's the theme song for major companies these days. If anything you should look up the lyrics. Weird Al should rewrite the song to include Apple, Microsoft, Motorola, Google and Samsung. (And replace Verizon with AT&T in the song. Verizon doesn't have the problems AT&T does.)
I'll sue ya, if you look at me ...
Re: simply just..
I want a tablet phone. Darn it, they just don't make screens big enough! It may take both hands to hold the massive device next to my head and need a belt holster the size of Noah's Ark but I wanna big phone!
I'm joking of course, I hate these massive screens. If I want a large screen I'll get a tablet or laptop. Otherwise the iPhone size is perfect for me. A phone looks ...
Re: How do you pronounce the Gz'One?
Gz' One = Geez won
As for the choice of name, I haven't a clue.
Re: Some Perspective
Very well put sir! I had an Android back in the day and my iPhone smokes the Droids by a long shot. The truth hurts those who hate the iPhone. But I'm a person who likes the iPhone for its quality, not the trend. If everyone else went to Android or Windows I'd still stay with iPhone for the simple reason it works better.
Re: The I-Phone 5
You type like a computer infected with a virus. Are you human or bot?
Blackberry = meh
And this is why iPhone and Android are dominating Blackberry.
Re: Bad update
Disregard. It's an ok update. It's just incredibly slow to load.
Bad update
I updated and now it doesn't work. I even closed the app and restarted my iPhone. It just stays on loading screen. Any suggestions? Anyone else experiencing this?
Re: Even if true
Well how's this for proof. I had an iPhone 4 on AT&T and constantly had to watch my data because it got to 2GB pretty quick compared to other phones I've had. Now I'm back on Verizon with an iPhone 4 and I stay on 3G most of the time and I find it harder to get to 2GB on Verizon. Not that it matters because I have unlimited data.
By reading this article I ...
Re: FaceTime
Well I can't say that never happens. In weak areas it does sometimes drop to 1x, but in stronger areas I have a great connection. Most places in the city where I live is usually strong. AT&T is strong here too but I left them because their network wasn't consistent. I haven't dropped one call with Verizon since switching back. AT&T dropped more calls and lost speed during peak hours. At a concert where hundreds of people were all ...
Pointless
People will still use their phones. If the courts wouldn't allow such stupid lawsuits they wouldn't have to put warning labels on devices. Cigarettes have a warning that basically states it may KILL you, but foolish people still smoke them. Warnings are just a lawsuit stopper. Anyone who has common sense should know that smartphones, especially those with Google, Facebook and GPS apps, will constantly ping your location.
Re: FaceTime
It works good for me. I use Tango over Verizon's 3G network. Since Verizon's network is consistently reliable it handles the data better. On AT&T it worked good during low congestion but during peak hours it had lots of lag and video cut outs.
Re: This is interesting but...
I agree. It's getting stupid. It just shows how easily scared people are these days. It stores info on your computer and cell phone...not your neighbors iTunes account, not the FBI, not Obama (I hope). And the average user probably doesn't even know how to find the file, advanced users yes but not simple users.
The media is overdoing it and even showing where the file is, so now EVERYONE knows where to find your privacy. Either way you ...
Test dummy
And this is why it's too early to be begging for 4G iPhones, Android or anything else. Go ahead, be the test dummy. By the time its perfected there will be better devices. Right now it's still in it's early phase, coverage isn't great and it drains battery way too fast. I think I'll stay with 3G for now. At least I know it works.
Aperture Labs
If Skynet doesn't then Aperture Laboritories will. The super computer GLaDOS already knows who you are! 8O
"We do what we must because we can."
:P
Knew it
When I heard all the hubub about Apple collecting location data I had a feeling Android (Google) was next in line to receive it's 10 lashes.
C'mon folks, it's Google. If Apple is guilty of collecting location data, you know darn well the information-hungry company Google would be doing this too. I'm not really offended. I mean, with all the apps like Latitude, Facebook, Navigation, Google Maps etc. it makes sense that you're phone is collection location ...
Woohoo!
Hot darn! Let me just drop my iPhone and unlimited data and get on this iDEN thing. I'll be able to use walkie-talkie communication. Then again, I may waste money on it because nobody uses it!
 :P
Past practice?
If I read that article correctly it seems that once again that Sprint is going off to itself in the corner again. Verizon, AT&T and T-mobile all tend to follow suit but Sprint says "we'll just do our own thing". Why? Every time they do this they end up being left behind and waste money in the process...ahem, WiMAX.
Re: Wow.
Yup, it's "big brother" trying to get bigger. And some in this country are letting it. New name will soon be "big bully". :paranoid:
Re: Wow.
I agree. What's this world coming to? The stupid stuff people cry about these days. Same thing with lawsuits. I understand if you patent something you want your rights but some of these lawsuits are very stupid. Same thing with the "separation of church and state" myth. Hmm, I don't remember reading that one in the Constitution.
People these days like to interpret the law the way they hear it and in the end it ...
Re: Why I love Verizon Wireless!
Loving Verizon and the iPad and want to marry it? You can get married at Starbucks and have some more kool-aid. That will be a weird threesome.
I like Verizon too (again) after leaving AT&T because I just HAD to have the iPhone...big expensive mistake. Not to mention dropped calls and slow data at peak hours.
Processor vs. RAM or Thunderbolt vs. Bionic
The HTC Thunderbolt is out and soon the Motorola DROID Bionic will release. While the specs are close with these two phones I'm on the fence on what might be the best.
The most noticable divider is the processor and RAM. The Thunderbolt has more RAM but the Bionic will have a duel-core processor.
I'd like to hear peoples thoughts on these two. I know by the Bionic not being out yet it's hard to make a solid ...
Re: Then why!!
When you update an iPhone, iPad etc before the download starts a window pops up that lets you know everything that update will do, like what bugs it's fixing, features it's adding and whatnot. Ususally at the bottom of the message it tells what devices the update supports. When it said it supported iPhone 4 it had "GSM only" next to it. When my wife updated her iPad the same message shows up so that's how ...
Re: Then why!!
The update is for iPhone 4 (GSM only) and other latest Apple devices. That's why Verizon's iPhone shows current software. One of the fixes was for cellular connectivity. Since the update was for GSM only that may mean only the GSM version needed fixed or a later update will come for CDMA if a bug is on that one too.
Here comes...
The hate mail. That few customers guilty of this are going to be pissed! Jailbreakers especially. I guess AT&T is worried their network is going to crash. And of course it is a form of theft.
Re: Speed change
The unlimited is defiantly worth it but I'd hate to get throttled. But I guess I'd never get to 10GB. This isn't so bad after all.
Speed change
So, throttled speed will feel more like 1x (2G) right? I've had Verizon before and their speed isn't something to brag about as it is. Throttled speed would suck! I thought Verizon was ready for the iPhone but every day a new defense pops up. Are they worried?
At least they have unlimited...for now.
Re: Data slow down, recent!
Do you have or use 'Mark the Spot' app? It's an app that you can report network issues.
Logo
I found this logo by google searching apple and AT&T logos. It randomly brought it up. The original picture is sized for iPhone wallpaper. I cropped it to use for my gravitar. The original pic makes a great iPhone wallpaper.
Re: Darwins Theory.
Thank you Zpike. I was beginning to think nobody had my back. I'm glad I'm not the only person that thinks the world didn't just appeared out of nothing. :D
AT&T #1 again
According to Q4 reports, AT&T now has 95.5 million customers and Verizon at close 2nd with 94 million customers. I'm sure we all know this may change once the iPhone settles in. It'll be an interesting battle between the two. This should prove that AT&T's "problems" aren't as bad as the over-hyped media is. No carrier is perfect everywhere, including Verizon.
Re: Darwins Theory.
Then where's the "missing link"? Why do scientist have to make lies to support his theory? Why do real scientists always have ways to prove there are gaps? Fossiles have been found but no fossiles in "mid-transition" have been found. For example, humans have always been humans, since creation. I don't even need a bible to explain creation. If it's not ALL true why believe it?
Watch 'No Intelligence Allowed' with Ben Stein. It's very eye opening. It shows what ...

Or you could use Google Navigator for free. :D
Re: Propose this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is all about good 'ol fashioned American greed. That lawmaker just want to make a stupid law to get his name out there. And the folks suing for getting hurt want money, just like that woman who fell in the fountain while texting. (on YouTube)
If people would just step back and say, you know what it is MY FAULT. I was wrong. It's that easy, but greed has the upper hand in most cases. People think only of themselves.
Re: They should also ban deaf people from walking on the streets

Re: Darwins Theory.
While I mostly agree with your statement, remember that darwin's theory is just that, a theory. Take it as a grain of salt or less. Most of his "science" is insane. Full of errors and gaps.
Before he was a scientist he was deep into the Bible. He just got mad at God because his daughter died at a young age, probably because he bore children with his cousin. He never fully denied God (not an atheist) and thought black ...
Re: The Problem IS...
The government is the problem. I work for it so I know. Our government runs like a Windows PC full of virues. Little popup windows tell you everything is ok while your privacy and control is slipping away. 8O
We should NOT let our gov tell us how to live. We are a free country! If I walk out in traffic while distracted and get hit, it's MY fault. We are not North Korea! We are not under sharia ...
Quick...
Just brew more koolaid and tell them everything is ok. The nations largest, most reliable, best, fastest 3G/4G network has you covered, don't worry!
This North Korean "great leader" mindset is getting weird. 8O
Verizon is a great network, but think for yourself. I'm on AT&T because they work better where I live. I don't let the media think for me.
Re: Call quality?
Then why does anyone care about a Verizon iPhone? Why are people complaining about AT&T? :P
Re: Tool, Toy, or Ego Boost?
Yeah the bashing does get old. People try to get all "football" about it or even religious. It's just technology folks. I confess I've been fanboy about stuff before but I actually try to be fair about it now.
As for Tool, Toy, or Ego Boost - one thing to remember...don't get too caught up in all this. The companies that are involved in all this don't see it that way. They only see MONEY, ...
