No signal issues here either, I'm not in a 3G area so I can't say anything about the 3G signal, but Edge signal has been fantastic.

It's not that they are 29 secs, at's that they are over 300k in sizes, AT&T restricts that on phones now. I had several that were 40+ secs but under 300k before I hacked mine. But now I have removed the restriction I can choose any song of any length or size and apply as a ringtone, which it I know its only gonna play roughly the first 30secs, but when they are encoded at faster bitrate they sound ...

I actually had to break out the manual to find the answer myself, I knew it had it because of the "Voice Dial Setup" under Settings/Personalize , just didn't know how to activate it.

Actually voice dial for the Z9 is used by holding in the "Send" key, there is not a smart key on the side for it. AT&T reps in my area were clueless about it as well, I had to show them.

I got mine the day it was released, it is pretty much like the v9, but I personally like the slider form factor more than the flip. Reception is great, as expected from Motorola, I can used it in places that my Blackberry Curve would constantly lose the signal. Speaker volume is also really good, I can hear all my calls loud and clear. The only call I have noticed that I couldn't hear well was with a friend ...

It has Voice Dial and no doesn't have to have a headset connected to use, just holding down the send key for about 3 seconds will activate it.

I have to totally agree with this, I hear people everyday say they wish they would make a newer model of a phone, then when its finally available, they say I'm NOT spending that much on a phone.

There is supposed to be update in the works that is supposed to allow it to record video, but no one knows when it will be released, other than RIM. At the rate its going the 9000 series phones will probably be out by the time the update is released.

Re: Need Poll - iphone or Blackberry 8310

I have had both phones, from a media and web browsing stand point I preferred the iPhone, but in the end went back to the 8310. 8310 gets better reception, longer battery life, and has louder speakers. I don't dislike the iPhone, but it has a few thing that just really annoyed me, no MMS, no copy/paste, and speaker volume could be louder were my biggest complaints.

cingagent said: This is an easy one: Blackberry Curve, hands down. The reception quality and battery life with blow away both the Blackjack I & II and the Iphone. Not to mention, I trust the Blackberry OS a lot more than ANY windows OS. If email is a factor, the blackberry has the best push email set up you can ask for, as soon as you have email, it is almost instantly "pushed" to the blackberry. As ...
