T-Mobile Stylo 4 has NFC and Band 71
The Tmobile version has NFC and LTE Band 71, and 2GB RAM, while the cricket version does not have NFC, Band 71. It also has 3GB RAM
Moto G for T-Mobile?
Any tests for call quality and data speeds on T-Mobile? AT&T's call quality and data network isn't up to par with T-Mobile's.
Re: Bad Move
H Block is in the PCS band. They don't need PCS spectrum. They are saving for the upcoming 600MHz spectrum license auction.
BYOD and the value plan
What I'm not liking is tmobiles current contract requirement for the so called value saving of 20.00 a month. I could come to them for a value plan and still be forced into that contract regardless of me bringing my own phone. That's the lop sidedness about the deal.
This isn't about their new rumored changes regarding the un-carrier plans coming.

Re: YMMV
Yes, exactly. My factory unlocked iphone 5 picks up 3G, but falls back to EDGE majority of the time. Especially in buildings where I would have full AWS 3G support.
Strange how we haven't heard a word about the iPhone being sold and how much on T-Mobile since they announced it coming.
Re: No AWS HSPA?
T-Mobile will not stop selling phones with AWS HSPA anytime soon. Regardless of LTE launching.
Re: No AWS HSPA?
TMobile primarily uses AWS HSPA. Dropping it won't help them. Their pcs HSPA is horrible compared to their AWS HSPA network.
No AWS HSPA?
No T-Mobile AWS HSPA?
Re: Interesting
Yes. AT&T's and T-Mobile both will use AWS for LTE.
AT&T and T-Mobile's version are the same.
Re: Quality spectrum
More like Sprint's WiMax's spectrum.
Re: I don't think Verizon
verizon has to sell their 4g lte phone unlocked from this dayforward. Their 700 c block spectrum requires it along with their aws spectrum co agreement.
So not like the 4S?
The 4S is one phone, but it depends on which carrier you activate it on, such as AT&T, Verizon or Sprint, that determines who its locked to.
So, the iPhone 5 isn't the same way?
Re: And the drama continues....
http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html
Why does the CDMA model support more LTE bands than the GSM model its one phone?
Re: And the drama continues....
I hope it has AWS support. Strange they didn't mention what HSPA+ bands it supported, even though LTE is the newer tech.
And the drama continues....
They still haven't made T-Mobile an official carrier yet....
Plus, no AWS HSPA support....
T-Mobile needs to get this refarmed PCS HSPA network live STAT!!!
Re: Someone explain
AT&T uses the lower 700 band, while Verizon uses upper 700
Re: CDMA VS GSM
MetroPCS is a small company. T-Mobile would just change the current CDMA equipment and install HSPA/LTE equipment.
Plus, MetroPCS uses PCS/AWS for their spectrum, and is currently launching LTE using AWS. This is exactly what T-Mobile is doing.
It's not like T-Mobile buying Sprint, and have to change over all the customers/network. That is a different story, and would take awhile.
Re: Take All The Time You Like...
Only way to have the phones work with both Verizon and AT&T, is to have the OEMs make Tri-band LTE phones, with (700/750/1700).
So you lied?
AT&T, you said you needed T-Mobile to even come close to what Verizon is offering currently, yet, you said by the end of 2013, you will have nearly 200 pops covered?
Shame on you? We didn't know you were such a blue liar.
Re: When people hear the word "FREE"
It's not really free. They have to pay the initial payment, in order to get the rebate back.
I hate MIRs. Make all the phones free, requiring the 2 year contract, and data.
Re: AT&T are so full of themselves
Maybe you should stop defending AT&T. I know what the word means. It means to slow down the connection. AKA a cap.
Re: That's asinine
Atleast T-Mobile has a specific defined throttle limit spelled out.
Re: AT&T are so full of themselves
They have been capping people at 2GB.
http://www.macrumors.com/2012/02/04/a tt-starts-throttling-unlimited-data-users-aft er-2gb-of-monthly-usage/
AT&T are so full of themselves
There's no incentive to being on an Unlimited plan, if they are going to throttle users at 2GB.
They are trying to force people to upgrade to the 3GB plans, just to get off the unlimited plans.
I don't know why people stay with them. iPhone aside.
Re: Plan A now B
Why would it take so long? Why isnt this spectrum not supported yet?
Looks like the HSPA+ 1900 band will be put on their upcoming 3G phones
How will T-Mobile take advantage of the UMTS roaming agreement from AT&T? Majority of T-Mobile's 3G phones do not have 1900MHz 3G. I know they might have the OEMs start putting them in, for next years phones.
All Lies
Who does he think he is? He knows that if they are the only sole GSM provider in the USA, they will have more power, and would be able to persuade the OEMs to only sell AT&T devices in the USA.
Plus, people won't have a choice when it comes to roaming in the country, or when they go overseas.
Re: Wow
I think they did it to block att just in cause att tried to go after it pending a failed attempt to buy tmobile.
Re: Wow
Many people cant video call on a phone like they do on their pc because the carriers put data limits due to capacity. If everyone started video calling now on a phone, the carriers would say its hurting their network due to lack of enough spectrum and backhaul.
More spectrum gives better flexibility on what u can offer the customers without worrying about killing the network with congestion.
Tmobile faced this issue before they got aws spectrum in 2006. They ...
Re: Wow
Right now verizon has nationwide 700 spectrum, but only half aws. Tmobile has the nationwide aws spectrum. Buy buying this new spectrum from spectrumCo, they will have nationwide aws spectrum as well.
This is what att is trying to accomplish by buying tmobile. Att has half the 700 and aws spectrum while verizon has the
other half.
They can hopefully offer true video calling and unlimited with out saying they strapped for spectrum and capacity.
Re: Wow
The reason why att would not get this is because they just bought 700mhz spectrum from qualcomm. Fcc approved that. If att did this deal too it would be greedy of them.
Verizon will get this deal done because they arent trying to buy another national carrier such as sprint for spectrum.
Att is getting hit because they want 700 from qualcomm and tmobiles network which would make them the sole gsm/hspa provider in the us.
Att could have ...
Re: LTE 700 / 1700
AT&T owns AWS spectrum, in parts of the Western US, while, Verizon owns AWS spectrum in parts of the Eastern US.
T-Mobile owns nationwide AWS spectrum.

Re: WCDMA bands
Both the HTC amaze and Tmobile gs2 have quad band 3g. Their boxes also show it.
Re: No
Does the Qualcomm chip that Apple has in the 4S even support AWS? I am wondering since its a different chip that whats in the iphone 4. Maybe Apple disabled the AWS in the firmware?
Apple got beat
Looks like the iPhone 4/4S isn't the thinnest smartphone around anymore.
Go head Verizon and Motorola. Apple is watching, and might have to go back to the drawing board with the so-called re-designed iPhone 5 specs.
You know Apple will be oh heck no.
Re: Well, wait a minute
Apple has not made an LTE iPhone for anyone. LTE is still brand new, and they won't have an LTE iPhone for sale until maybe next year.
Re: LTE chipsets
I think it has something to also do with AT&T not having LTE up yet fully.
What about T-Mobile?
I know the iPhone 4 is currently capable of being sold on Sprint, right now. CDMA iphone 4 has CDMA/EvDO 850/1900, which sprint can use, since it has the 1900 band.
That means, they will get the "rumored" cheap 8GB iphone 4.
What about T-Mobile? If AT&T doesn't have the exclusive anymore, there is no reason why T-Mobile can't sell it. Apple is capable of putting the AWS band on it, for GSM/EDGE/HSPA+.
Re: LACKS HSPA+
HTC uses Qualcomm chipsets, while Samsung uses their own Hummingbird CPU. Samsung's CPU is much faster than what the G2, and MyTouch 4G have.
