Lacking Support

So let me get this straight... HTC has completely abandoned their not even 2 year old EVO 4G for upgrades? Have abandoned their not even a year old Glacier (MyTouch 4G) for upgrades, and is favoring the Sensation line up OVER the Amaze? REALLY?

There is a reason HTC is not the leader anymore.

While I used to HATE Samsung, and I still wont use anything with TouchWiz, Id rather buy a Samsung phone and root it and customize it than buy another HTC phone. Why? Cause at the end of the day, Samsung is learning to support their line up longer, and HTC has discovered they dont have to....but look where it got them!

Id rather go with a company that will support updates (and yes these phones BOTH have enough space and power) than stick with ...

This is why HTC rocks!

They are much more consumer oriented in the way they unlocked bootloaders and now at least giving a timeline in their planned ICS roll out. Motorola understandably has their reasons but can they really be justified in light of what HTC is doing?

According to HTC?

These additions will deliver "fuller bass and crisper vocals and a new level of clarity and range," according to HTC.

Yeah, becuase HTC is the authority on all things full and crisp, right? If anybody has used the HTC Surround, they will know that HTC certainly is not a sound authority.

5MP CAMERA NOT 8/SLOWER THAN G2x

Although on the website it looks like there is an 8mp camera THERE IS NOT! and even though the processor looks better when running a quadrant test the G2x moves faster [nvida makes the g2x processor--they're amaazzzzing] and def has better reaction speed. Sorry HTC!

Sensation vs g2x

I currently have the g2x and although i like the phone the tiny issues of rebooting and shutting off have been annoying to deal with at times. I love HTC but not sure if i am in love with HTC sense. Just thinking about getting rid of my G2x for sensation and wondering if it is worth it?? What would you do?

Can anything slow it down?

How about EDGE data service?? T-mobile doesn't even have 3G everywhere. I don't know what they are thinking talking about 4G.

LACKS HSPA+

👿

I noticed a HUGE boost when I switched to a Samsung Galaxy S 4G HSPA+ 21 from a MyTouch 4G HSPA 14.

HSPA+ > HSPA

Sad to hear the Sensation won't have HSPA+ 21 support as 14.4 HSPA was way too slow to stream YouTube for my liking. I know some say HSPA 14 is fast enogh for them, but for me it's not even close. Guess it's just my area /shrug

Seems like only Samsung is pushing out HSPA+ phones for TMO atm, like the Sidekick 4G and Galaxy S 4G, anyone know why other phone makers aren't making HSPA+ phones?

G2X is also just HSPA 14 which was a dissapointment as well.

Sensation 4G Cant Wait!

I must say that i have been anticipating this phone for as long as i can remember since it was the Pyramid! Its finally coming out and i cant wait to get mine! Good Job HTC Keep it up! Only thing i cant wait for more is for the bootlockers to be taken off to see what this thing really can do with Base Gingerbread!

Bought Sensation at Walmart ! June 8th - Austin TX

Here in Austin TX, June 8th. I just bought two HTC sensations.

They were not on display under glass yet - but they were in stock behind the display where the keep the inventory locked up.

Their un-released flyer has it for $148 each.

I got one for me and for my wife.
IT ROCKS!!

The clerk was not sure if he could sell it to me yet.... I got nervous has he started to check--- expecting a big "no you have to wait unit the 12th" BUT.. his system showed the release date as the 8th, and he sold me two of them.!

YEAH ME!

Memory...

What's with the 1gb of memory? pretty disappointing and could be a deal breaker for advanced consumers...
