Tmobile must of known from the start that the merger would have failed because thru the whole process they were really quiet. They were better off with the merger failing than succeeding.
And customers are better off with the "4G" HSPA+ instead of LTE? Since DT is looking to get rid of this, do not expect investing in LTE.
of course they were quiet 🙂
if they weren't quiet and the merger failed, they couldn've lost the breakup fees
Looks like the HSPA+ 1900 band will be put on their upcoming 3G phones
How will T-Mobile take advantage of the UMTS roaming agreement from AT&T? Majority of T-Mobile's 3G phones do not have 1900MHz 3G. I know they might have the OEMs start putting them in, for next years phones.
When pentaband phones become more common it will make a difference. And not only TMO. For both GSM carriers.
Then again all is speculation.
The majority of AT&T's 3G network has been switched from the 1900MHz to their 850Mhz band for better coverage. I'm guessing thats how T-Mo will be able to utilize it.
my vibrant phone has 3G on 1900/2100 and AWS 1700/2100 as do all other smart phones i've considered buying
