AT&T = 4GB for $45 Inferior network and phone Sprint = Unlimited for $30 Better network, better phone (EVO/EPIC) and $15 cheaper a month. No brainer.

Sprint is tied for first in Customer Care 2nd in dropped calls 2nd in overall voice coverage Arguably the best data network & phones A nd cheaper than AT&T Verizon by about $40/month if you include data Sounds pretty good to me.

I agree. I was very disapointed when I saw this phone. But then the price + the new feature of dual screens really isnt that bad. They shouldnt have hyped it up this much; was a sure thing for a let down. But it seems to be a great phone for the price spec. wise. Should have saved all the hype for what you said; either a 3D phone or the EVO 2.

Really?

So Sprint having.. 1 - virtual tie in 1st place w/ the most recent customer satisfaction rating 2 - 2nd only to Verizon in coverage 3 - Arguably best data network 4 - STILL best plans for the network 5 - STILL best smartphones... 6 - 2nd to only Verizon in dropped calls So why does Sprint "deserve" it? If anyone does its AT&T

Jan 13, 2011, 6:14 PM
in the Rumor Mill forum

What's this? An invitation-only event with Sprint CEO Dan Hesse in New York City on Feb. 7? And illusionist David Blaine's going to be there, too? Count us in. Heck, we don't even care if there's any Android fare to be found (though it'd be a nice plus). OK, OK. We care about Android fare. And so we'll pack our bags for NYC and report back. Cause that's what we do.

Worst customer to help? Race/Age etc.

I remember hearing about this like a year ago.. I wish :) That'd be nice actually. Comcast is centered near here (Philadelphia) and with Sprints spectrum + Comcasts funds, wowie.

WM7 phone... HTC EVO SHIFT (tomorrow)... but nothing thats really an "upgrade" to the EVO anytime soon.. Maybe the EVO 2 (hopefully) Wish list: SLCD screen (or whatever the upgrade is to normal screens, not AMOLED since thats Samsung) 3+ MP front facing 10+MP back facing 1080p vid recording Dual core processor Extended battery life x2 DLNA Honeycomb (Android 3.0) That'd be nice!

The EVO would only be HDMI so I'm assuming DLNA only..

its an EVO on a more expensive plan

And instead of HDMI its DLNA... okie dokie. If it works like the EVO on Sprint then win for Verizon.

I have an EVO and it still sets the bar for the top smartphone, think this one will be an "EVO killer"?

So Sprint #1, Verizon #2, then who cares after that..
Dec 15, 2010, 3:06 PM
in the Article: The Fastest Networks forum

Verizons has the fastest but its still new & Sprint has the 2nd fastest data speeds. Obviously the largest footprint nationwide. Defininately the most devices... *Multiple aircards etc. *2 4G Phones (EVO & EPIC) & The best Value w/ (inc. unlimited 4G data).

SO having OVERALL the 2nd largest footprint, 2nd in dropped calls, and prob. the best data network all while having the 2 top ranked smart phones and cheapest data plans w/ no data cap isnt "competing"... hmm.

Battery life and task killer
Dec 6, 2010, 1:18 PM
in the Article: Google Announces Android 2.3 Gingerbread Details forum

So with all the mixed reviews on task killers, this will come with a stock one that you should actually use? If the EVO can get improved battery life and a suggested/android approved task killer then WOW.

AT&T network better? Muahahhaha FAIL
Oct 26, 2010, 8:26 PM
in the Article: Sprint and Openwave Target Browsers for App Development forum

Ummm... "AT&Ts network performs 10xs better than Sprints"? How can you possibly say that without admitting ignorance? Sprint has less dropped calls More data spectrum (4G capped currently, check Wimax 2 update coming soon... 50+Mbps) More 3G coverage Stronger 3G signal More Voice coverage (with roaming) ... So please enlighten?

Re: Speed testing

13mpbs is impressive... Wimax 2 update (Sprints 4G and coming soon) will supposidly do 300+Mbps... real world it'll prob. be 50Mpbs which is still extremely fast! Right now Sprints 4G (Wimax 1) is capped.

Last I checked, comparison map coverage
