Re: They need the "Can you hear me now" guy back
They tried to call him...But, I guess he was out in the country side, and the call did not go through.
Re: Mixed Feelings
Double whammy...Paying the government to do this to us (taxes) and paying for the extra cost incurred by the phone companies to have it done...
Re: Keep this in mind on November 4th
"and we must choose between the lesser of two evils."
I never liked that statement as a vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for
 E V I L
If I don't like either main party candidate I will usually vote for a third party candidate as it helps them to qualify for funds during the next election cycle.
However, your second paragraph is dead on.
Re: And out of 1000 sold
Verizon licensed the "Droid" name, from Lucas Films, for the Android powered phones that they sell. Same phones, not including Motorola brand, on other networks are called something else.
Motorola also pays for the use of the name for their "Droid" phones.
Re: No such speed promises
Will do, thanks
Re: No such speed promises
I am unlimited, and under contract until February.
Verizon "required" me to upgrade my phones from the ones that I had when they acquired Alltel. I told them that as they were the ones making me change phones, I would walk if I could not keep my unlimited plan.
Re: I smell a lawsuit
Correct. I was only pointing out that there are people with unlimited data that are still under contract. However, my free tethering did disappear when I re-upped. Alltel never charged me for it, and neither did Verizon until I "upgraded" phones. :(
Re: I smell a lawsuit
I'm under a two year unlimited until next February. They required me to upgrade my older Altell phones (Treo Pros) and I said that I would walk if I could not keep my grandfathered in unlimited plan as it was them requiring me to change.

Re: Government Shutdown?
This isn't facebook, but they really do need a "Like" button.
I am Bat Man
Um, it looks like his phone :)
Re: If Only
Where is the "Like" button on this site?
Re: What year?
Dang, you beat me to it...
My guess is the year 2020, mentioned later, is correct.
Re: I don't get it
It is just a guess but, I think that HP feels that if they start doing anything reasonable regarding WebOS, no one will believe that it is actually HP. :(
Re: Whats the difference?
About 9 hours more talk time...For those who have people to talk too.
Re: Woah, kudos HP.
I think that this is the second update since the departure of Léo Apotheker.

Research? in Motion
RIM does not seem to be living up to their name. Recently, they tried to use BBX for their OS name, and now this. Just call it BM and get it over with...
Re: open source =
You could always write applications for the device's OS for free. All HP have done is to make the OS open source.
Re: RIP Steve
Agreed. While I was never an Apple fan, I did follow Jobs and his passing feels the same to me as when Jay Minor died back in the 90's.
Re: Touch Screen Resposiveness
I'm just wondering why he is trying to masterb@te his phone in the store

With that in mind, we are freeing up our WebOS and Palm employees so that they can now work for directly for our customer's...
Re: Apotheker does not care how HP ends up.
And, considering HP's own servers crashed while selling their own product, what company would want to use them to handle their commerce?
Apotheker does not care how HP ends up.
Apotheker is using HP as a means to stick it to Oracle after SAP (Apotheker's former company) was forced to pay more than a billion dollars for illegal use of Oracle software.
I think that he will drive HP into the ground if HP's board doesn't wake up soon...

Here's a quick question for you-
Which is a better electrical conductor:
Copper wires or Nitrogen gas (which represents over 70% of our atmosphere)?
Copper wires, of course. But what does Nitrogen gas have to do with it? The pads should use a magnetic field and coil, which will work in a complete vacuum.
Re: Class Action Suits
At least they could get pennies, now they can't even afford to buy lubricant before AT&T gets hold of them...
Re: Please Help ME
The Care Bears don't...care?...They do too care!!
Re: yah i remember when
I pay 156 for 2 smart phones with unlimited data, text, web, and tethering. Still on my plan ported from Alltel.
Re: Why?
It might work better if you asked in the "Venue Pro" forum, and not here.
