Keep this in mind on November 4th
When you go to vote on November 4th be sure you know which of the politicians are in favor of big government and which are the ones who feel government should stay out of our lives.
I don't want to get into a whole political discussion/argument so I'm not going to tell you who to vote for, but it is pretty clear which side is for more government regulation and which side is for less.
...
It's not as simple as one party vs. the other. Name either party, and I can give you the names of politicians on either side of the government surveillance issue.
...
Which is why people need to take the time to educate themselves about the policies and views of the candidates on their ballot and actually make informed decisions.
...
I don't trust either party, don't fool yourself on less or more government with either.
...
Then vote for a 3rd party candidate if they are the better option. Your other choice is to not vote in which case you have no basis to complain about how messed up our politicians are.
...

Who do I fear most? Do I fear the person who might raise my taxes, even though he or she promises not to, or do I fear the one who says my taxes will go up?
...
"and we must choose between the lesser of two evils."
I never liked that statement as a vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for
👿 E V I L 👿
If I don't like either main party candidate I will usually vote for a third party candidate as it helps them to qualify for funds during the next election cycle.
However, your second paragraph is dead on.
