E815 address book

I heard the E815 address book allows entries for street addresses. Anyone know if this is true? This might help me decide between the E815 and the LG8100.

Help choosing phone

I've been researching and almost ready to buy, but need advice on phone choice.

I'm not as interested in the 'gadgets' (though they are pretty cool) with the exception of business use items... i.e. synching w/ my laptop, reception & voice quality in all areas (travel quite a bit), speakerphone, voice dialing, etc.. as well as overall build quality & durability.

The v710 seems to be good enough... but I've read many threads stating minor cons, it seems worth waiting for the 815. I also like the LG's, i.e. 8100, but all other phones in this line (7000, 8000) don't have minor items like speaker phone.

Bottom line; I'm pretty set on either the 815 or 8100... but would like feedback if I'm choosing correctly or just paying extra f...

Bummer, no analog

This would have been the perfect phone if it was a tri-mode with analog for the Mountains.

The Northwest needs a bluetooth megapixel tri-mode for Verizon.

I have talked to numerous people that were very dissapointed that this would only be digital.

Maybe someone from Motorola or Verizon will read this and shazam the E815 will be available in tri-mode!

Could be pushed back

I'm an employee at Qualcomm. When I saw that the E815 was coming out on 6/27, I e-mailed my corporate Verizon rep. for Qualcomm and told him I wanted to purchase it. He then wrote back it's scheduled to come out 6/27, but it might possibly be pushed back.

E815 shipping to warehouses

Just thought i'd pass this on....someone on HOFO said that the E815 was finally shipping to verizon's warehouses...no word on price. He said the phone still comes up as $99999.99 in their system...hmmm what a deal. hehe 🤣 Also no word on the VX8100. Hopefully that means the end of the month could be a definite. 😁

How big is this thing gonna be?

Is this thing basically the same size of the v710? How does it compare in size with the lg vx8100? I know what the dimensions say, but they can be decieving on clamshell models.

Question on VZW Nat'l Access

Question for the group....hope this makes sense.

I'm getting a BT enabled PDA next week. I'm also waiting for a new phone...either the E815 or the VX8100.

My question is about Verizon's data plans. Can I use one phone for two separate plans....IOW...can I get the new phone and use my voice plan, and also add a separate data plan on the same device? Or will I need to get the data plan separate with a separate phone?

TIA

JM

PCSync, SyncML, Data Capable... e815 vs lg8100

I'm trying to decide between phones. Aside from size, weight, style, etc.. it seems one distinct difference between the 815 & 8100 are the features; 'PCSync, SyncML, & Data Capable.

Admittedly a novice, these seem to be a pretty big deal... especially since I travel a lot w/ a laptop and would like the ability to use a cell phone as a travel-modem.

Can anyone shed light on these features, exactly what they are, and if the 8100 has any competing features in this regard?

Thanks!!

Bluetooth OBEX Security

For everyone who bitches about how Verizon disables the Bluetooth in their phones and are whining around about it...there are actual security concerns here that aren't just going to go away, I noticed this article recently and wanted to share it here:

People with Verizon...

Seriously can you give us SOME idea of when this phone is going to be released???? I have seem pictures of people who work for Verizon that already have the phone...so I am thinking it's fairly soon...but how soon?

My contract with Sprint is up soon and want to change over to Verizon. I have heard about the crippling of the V710 so I don't want that but I need something with bluetooth...but don't want those big blackberry-type phones.

So should I hold out a little longer or look elsewhere for a phone?

Thanks!

E815 VS Nokia N90

I think it will we a while till the Nokia N90 will be available in the US but which one would you pick? Cuz Nokia N90 is awesome with the 2+ Megapixel camera the only thing i think E815 is better is the battery life. 😈
