Bummer, no analog

This would have been the perfect phone if it was a tri-mode with analog for the Mountains.

The Northwest needs a bluetooth megapixel tri-mode for Verizon.

I have talked to numerous people that were very dissapointed that this would only be digital.

Maybe someone from Motorola or Verizon will read this and shazam the E815 will be available in tri-mode!

Your best bet if you want a tri-mode phone close to the E815 if the V710. The main reason i believe this phone wont be tri-mode is because its EV-DO Verizon V-Cast Service. I'm sure there will be other tri-mode phones made for Verizon after this one but i have yet to see one made for Verizon for their V-Cast service.

There will be no analog EVDO phones. I would take to many circuits (analog, digital, EVDO). Also the analog side is being phased out, before any of you say it wont be for years or there is still tons of analog areas, it is happening and will continue to happen despite disputes. It is a fact of technology, it advances. Notice the PCMCIA cards VZW sells, none of them have have all three.

Phone Tech you back up my point that there wont be any EVDO phones that are analog they will be all digital and yes it is true analog has started the stage of being phased out its a disappointment to a lot of people especially to those people who go up north or those with higher elevation. But digital is more reliable and better reception. Verizon is quickly expanding their digital network across the US and across other parts of the world as well as i have found out with my global phone. I live in Michigan and in the UP they just did a HUGE upgrade in digital coverage area so it just shows it is just a matter of time and plus with a analog call/signal it just drains out your battery you barely can hear the person if you can even get the c...

Yes I do.
I can't even get a call through with my 710 in an analog area most of the time. Luckily I don't run into alot of analog.

Yea me neither thats why I'm glad my global phone is all digital and thats why i had to laugh at the lady that worked at verizon that said the reception on a tri-mode phone is better than the reception on a all digital phone 🤣 The Motorola A840 is my first all digital phone and i can tell huge differences already! I just hope they get rid of the rest of the analog area in Michigan soon!

The Northwest is not a highly populated area, hence the cell industry doesn't put huge investments in towers. To make things worse we have 10,000 foot mountains killing digital signals.

We still like to communicate and like our gadgets.

Are there any phones out there or soon to be released that are CDMA and Analog with the megapixel camera and bluetooth for Verizon other than the V710?

Will the A840 global phone work in the Rockie Mountans of Montana?

Verizon are you listening we need analog or many more towers here in S.W. Montana!

The A840 is a great phone BUT it is all digital and no bluetooth. Now there are bluetooth adapters you can get if you choose to go that route they are made by Motorola and jabra. I know there is a CDMA Razr (Motorola MS-500) Coming out late this year possibly early next its been released in Korea already if you can read Korean 🤣 you can go to the Motorola Korean website it shows some awesome pictures of that phone i just never understand why everything gets released in America last. That will be a bluetooth phone with a awesome megapixel camera phone might have Analog on it. There are push to talk phones coming out that will have cameras and analog on them but than you have to hop on the push to talk network of Verizon. You will ju...
