Add a PDA to the A630?

I'll be getting my phone soon in the mail. I'm not really looking for a PDA phone but would love to be able to put someone's contact info in for business purposes. ( email, company address, etc. )

Is there a way to add some sort of software on it?

Question

So if you unlock the t-mobile phone version, what will be the features on there with the Cingular sim card in there? Would it be worth unlocking, or should i wait and take the Cingular version which will be out in probably another 5 month's.

Don't Count On Unlocking the T-mobile version and being able to use it >>>

I hate to break everyone's hearts, but the new A630 (T-mobile Version) is locked.... That can be undone as I did it tonight, but there is another problem. You can't make any new websessions or mms sessions at all PERIOD.NOT EVEN EDIT THE ONES THAT ARE THERE. T-mobile has taken that part out. Sounds to me like T-mobile may know that Cingular isn't going to carry it, so they decided to remove any way of changing the browser and mms settings. Or the other reason is T-Mobile realizes they are losing millions yearly to dealers trans shipping phones. Maybe all of their phones will be coming out this way to counter that??? All I know is with the unlocked T-Mobile version I could make a call and send/receive sms fine. I do know that I did like the T...

I keep hereing that cingular isnt going to be carrying the motorola A630 (which would be a stupid move) from some people and that they will have it out soon from others. I dont know who to believe so im just going to ask:

Got it today

My local T-Mobile store got the A630 in today. I picked it up after work. First impressions: it's tiny but with some pratice I am getting faster on the keyboard, lots of built-in ringtones, email and sms work as expected and it comes with some interesting games.

Looks like an Ogo!?

This looks alot like an Ogo, but since this merger I can't find any pictures on the ATTWS site. Is the Ogo made by Motorola?

Review - Live Demo

I played with the live demo in our store today...

It's a nice device. I'm getting addicted to the built-in crossword puzzle game. I also like the fact that on the menu, there is a seperate icon for emails from "messages" (texts).

The camera is SHARP. It's more crisp than the V600 granted they have similar interfaces.

Speakerphone is loud and clear.

Hidden keyboard is very thumb friendly.

---

Hmm... I might turn in my V600 for this bad boy since I do a lot of text and email.

any questions, feel free to ask.

Just Ordered The Phone!

I ordered the phone from Amazon a couple of months ago and was notified last week that it was canceled. I was so disappointed because I was supposed to have received last week.

Well, Amazon.com has the phone on again at their website with still the same, great deal at $99 ( after $200 mail in rebate )

But I heard the demand is so high so you better get on the website real quick. Because I know they will run out again.

Also Noticed

Ive also noticed for awhile hat you can see new phones cingular is getting by checking out the ringtones. They have had a630 ringtones since the summer and as of now the phone is still up ther. Just lettin you all know this because the phone must be coming to cingular...how soon?....who knows because cingular lies and pushes back far too much

Well jus tell how you Like it.

I know the phone isnt out for the cingular customers, but for anyone that has it, can you give us a heads up on what to expect on: how it runs, the reception and the graphics along with the mp3 sounding ringtones. I know i won't probably see it but at least i can dream about your seein, cause i want the phone really bad, cause i wanna show it to all my friends. Post pictures or something on a link so we can see your phone so i know it exist.

This aint looking pretty.

👿 Man now they saying three hundred different things and its not adding up. to get some clarification, can someone verify the prices and the due date of the phone. 1st and for most the phone is listed for about 300.00 by t-mobile, but for cingular is it the same? Secondly the due date is expected for last week of November and the first week of December. Once again if someone can inquire the phone for cingular anytime soon let me know so we can talk some cash.

Motorola a630 - Wait Until Next Year

After spending about two weeks trying to get a hold of a rep at Motorola ( I contacted the PR and Marketing folks at the corporate headquarters office at Schamburg, Illinois ) and I FINALLY got a hold of a rep at Motorola. She was very candid with me and probably told me way too much info. I asked her point blank "Is it true the delay of the a630 is due to the problems with the camera" and she said, "we are still working out the kinks on the a630 phone" which tells me the rumors are probably true.

She also said the phone will NOT be out this year, best hope is for early next year. I am so disappointed, I ordered my phone over two months ago from Amazon and was notified last week that my ordered was canceled.

As you all know, the phon...
