Apple iPhone

No, it's not the network that I can blame, it's the hardware/software of the Iphone that is just horrid in holding a signal. I have dropped a total of 24 calls in five days throughout Southern California using the 101 Freeway. On my last business trip, I took my V9M and Iphone together so I could really test it out. The V9M smoked the Iphone silly when it came to call quality and holding a signal. Get this...I actually called Apple Tech Support from the freeway while I was in traffic( In Burbank)and the guy just could not believe how crappy the call was. 1) Why do I have to use the crappy iPhone stock ear buds? My bose QC2 and In Ear, as well as some radioshack nonsense headphones will not fit. Only the ear buds do. I doubt it..but anyway around this travesty?

2) how long should it take to connect to a pop server on edge? sometimes it takes 2-3 minutes. blackberry owns in this department.

3) any freeware apps that are worth looking at?

4) any word on an update to increase ear piece volume ( i can live with a low ringer, even a low speaker, but the earpiece is way too low)? i know people have addressed this...but still no clear answer, eh?

5) to avoid horrible overages overseas...all i have to do is not use safari and turn all my email accounts off? should that do shut off my phon...

I heard there was a way to put ringtones onto the iPhone without buying the songs. It has to do with changing the extension of the song clip from m4r to m4a or something like that and putting it into the ringtones file on iTunes but I haven't been able to get it to work. If anyone knows how to do it, please let me know. Thanks

okay i might buy an iphone but....... im only 15 so i cant sign a contract (and no one i know will either) so i have heard that you can get it prepaid is it true,how do you do it and what is the data plans on it like and why arent the plans for it on att's site?

sometimes in my email i see it says "Load 25 more messages." maybe i'm wrong..but isn't this saying that it would like to pull up the last 25 messages on my server? when i click it, it looks like it's doing something..then after a minute..it just stops and continues to say "load more messages"

so i can access the sirius online player via safari as if i would on my computer. i can log in, and get all the way to howard 100 and 101...but when i actually click on the channel i want to listen to..it doesn't play. there's gotta be some ingenious plugin to let this work..woudln't it be great to have this be makeshift satellite radio receiver?

As I debate buying a I phone, I hear from people I talk to that they are comming out with a new model or updated one, I can not belive this already cause they just came out with this version, But you never know, That is why I am posting this has anybody heard of a second or new version comming out soon or at all?

I would like to get an I phone but I go into the at&t store to play with them and if I am in the browser all of a sudden, it will go back to the home screen. this is not the first time, and this is not the only phone I have played with the iphone at a few different stores, and the same thing happens? I asked the sales person, only on had any kind of answer, that the broweser cashe was full, so i went into the settings and cleares all the cookies and everything i could. But it did not seem to work. Nice phone, But if it crashes al the time, I do not know?

I torn between whether to buy a Samsung Blackjack or an iPhone.

I have heard that there is no IMing on iPhone, is this true? Is it also true that you cannot add ringtones to your phone? I wonder how you get ringtones for the iPhone then?

I think the Blackjack offers IMing on their phone and it's a lot cheaper than the iPhone. So, once again, I am torn. If anyone would like to advise, please do. Thanks!

Is there anyway to save pictures sent as attachments to my email on the iphone? I know that I can sync the pictures, but can I just save them from the attachments?

Had the phone a week and love it!! I have so far figured everything out, except... Is there any an FM transmitter made that will work with iPhone? I have bought and returned two with no luck. I looked on apple website as well. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks

1. How much would it be with a family plan of 1400 shared minutes with one iPhone and two normal phones along with unlitmited texting for the iPhone?

How much monthly, though. Not at the start.
Also, I do not currently have AT&T, i'm switching so is there a difference in price there?

refurbished 8 gb iphone is down to 349.99 wow. I was one of the losers who paid full retail 499.99 for an iphone with 4gb less storage.

On a better note..the new ipods look pretty nice.

and it looks like us iphone users will be getting an update very soon. one of the updates will be itunes on our iphone. you will be able to buy music from itunes on your iphone. Sounds great! hopefully there will be a bunch of other updates that come with this software update!

im still pissed that i could have gotten a 8gb iphone for A LOT cheaper. Oh well I guess .its still a great phone and i dont regret my purchace one bit.

I'm not being glib, I truly feel bad for everyone out there that was hoodwinked and basically robbed. It's like going to a computer store, buying a new printer, three weeks later the printer is "on sale" you take your receipt back to the store to get an adjustment only to be told the stores policy is two weeks from date of purchase. I had a few minor problems with my 4gb iphone. I bought the iphone from AT&T, but went straight to the APPLE store in my hometown to see what they could do about the issues I was having. The APPLE store folks were awesome. The techs tried a hard reset and then a complete restore. Still had the same problems. At that point I was given a APPLE ICARE LONER IPHONE at no charge and mine was sent out on FEDEX the same day. I got my ipone back in 3 days, and APPLE UPGRADED my 4GB to an 8GB no charge! Plus I will get the $100.00 store credit which makes me feel alot better. FYI--You do not have to pay for a loner iphone, AND NOW APPLE IS REPLACING PHONES AND NOT FIXING THEM. I've had the phone since the first day available. No issues at all. However now the earpiece to the phone seems to be broken. On calls I can't hear a thing. No rings, no people, nothing. They can hear me just fine. And the speakerphone works (as well as it ever works). I've done a hard re-set to no avail. Considering re-setting the phone to it's factory settings and starting over.

Questions: Has this happened to anyone else? If it's truly defective, what are my options?
