The last paragraph of the statement on apple.com says that "all iphone customers" will receive at least a $100 credit. It does say the ones that are not covered under the rebates but doesn't specify 4 gig or 8 gig buyers. Any additional info here? Thanks....

Im going overseas soon and wanted to get the iPod Touch which is basically the same as the iPhone but without email (but you can add that). And I wanted to know does Spain have Wi-Fi that is compatable with the Wi-Fi that is in the iPhone?? Thanks!

I'm torn on this. I am getting an iphone with the price cut but I don't know which one. I have a nano with 2gb right now so I wonder if getting a phone with 4gb is worth it. Chime in I'd appreciate it!

NEW YORK (AP) - A 17-year-old hacker has broken the lock that ties Apple's iPhone to AT&T's wireless network, freeing the most hyped cell phone ever for use on the networks of other carriers, including overseas ones.

George Hotz of Glen Rock, N.J., confirmed Friday that he had unlocked an iPhone and was using it on T-Mobile's network, the only major U.S. carrier apart from AT&T that is compatible with the iPhone's cellular technology. In a video posted to his blog, he holds an iPhone that displays "T-Mobile" as the carrier.

While the possibility of switching from AT&T to T-Mobile may not be a major development for U.S. consumers, it opens up the iPhone for use on the networks of overseas carriers.

Interested in the iPhone - like the idea of having everything in one device however a critical feature for me (I'm a sales guy and on the road a lot) is hands free/voice recognition dialing. Been told the iPhone doesn't offer it but then I could possible download something like VoiceSignal.... Can someone enlighten me. Two other quick questions are: how easy/difficult is it to import all my MS Outlook contacts and e-mail over to the iphone and, how long does the battery last (I'm hearing a lot of different comments from 2 hours to 6 9 hours of talk time/browsing on the net).

The iPhone is nothing different. It has the same features as any other PDA, but OH WOW, it can play iTunes music! If you wasted money on iTunes music, which can't be played on other other music player, making you a slave for life to Apple, then you have no clue what is good of not.
The iPhone doesn't even have a keyboard! Apple is a pure joke is their designs.

Only trend follower are going to waste money of this crap. I hope people paid huge money to switch, spent even more on the iPhone, then have 50 dropped calls a day!

So my dad comes home and said he called me and asked why i didnt pick up.
He called? i didn't hear my phone ring.
Maybe it was on silent.

Go In my room pick up my iphone
i realize its really warm and all around it on my bed is really warm. not hot just warm.
I go to press the home button. nothing happens.
Okay maybe its just dead.
Put it on charge. Nothing.
Dock it to the computer, nothing.

I called apple and they told me to reset it (home button sleep`wake button) yay! it turned on.
Still the rep was worried why the phone got So warm.
He gave me his personal name and number and told me to call back if anything else happens.

i was really happy with apple customer support they were really helpful AND they spoke english =D ...

I got my iphone today and i saw that it didn't have the infamous fish background where is it?

Until I saw the Prada myself I would have thought it was better then the iPhone. It is a lot smaller then the iPhone and feels much better in my hands. Its camera is just as good as the iPhone although has a mirror and flash. It has a smaller screen although is touch screen just like the iPhone. The KS20 has everything that the iPhone has and even operates on Windows Mobile 6. It is also cheaper then the iPhone. The real difference in the iPhone and Prada/KS20 is the memory. Although with the memory card slot built in the Prada/KS20 the memory can be expanded.

I think the only good thing about the iphone, feature wise is that if you are standing next to someone using an at&t phone and you make a call or get on the net they drop their call because it is so much of a network hog...lol...good for those people in front of u at the gas station talking so much they cant figure out how much what they bought is.

Is the honeymoon over for the Iphone? No one is talking about it anymore. Ebay and craigslist have a ton of them going for what people are paying for them in the store. The ratings for the Iphone are not spectacular by any means. I really do believe that the Iphone is going to tank in a big way.
