1st iphone update is here.
I downloaded the update last week and i don't see anything different on my iphone.

It was probably just the security update. Apple is BIG on that. They update the Mac every month, sometimes more.

just wondering. What exactly does a security update do? And does anyone have info on the next real software update the iPhone will get? I keep hearing its coming soon but I would like a little more onto than "soon"

Here's the deal: UPdate the phone: it might destroy functionality of hacks, such as the infamous "create your own ringtone" hack.
That hasn't happened yet, but usually Apple wants to keep control of the phone. GO DVD John!!!!
