Motorola KRZR K1m

So, this is already the second problem ive had with this phone... i had to return it once before because the phone kept freezing and locking up.

its been about 4 and a half weeks since that exchange, which only came after jumping through hoops and dealing with certain idiot dealers, and already the replacement phone's main screen has developed "waves" across the entire span of the screen. this happened two days ago with no apparent provocation... it wasnt near water, dropped, or mishandled.

my question is more about verizons return policy. they told me when i had my phone exchanged before that i would have to exchange my phone for a refurbished one. so far with 2 brand new phones, neither has lasted for more than 5 weeks without breaki...

i live in one of those fringy areas where it switches evdo on and off constantly and it takes away from the battery... how do u shut off evdo completely? i looked in the 'secret' menu and didnt find it there... anyone know?!?!? thanks

Does anyone know where I can download some game for this? I'm with TELUS.

I just got my K1m w/ verizon a day ago and I've been trying out the features and using a wired headset works perfectly fine for calls but when I attempt to use the music player w/ the headset, I hear nothing? 😡 Does anyone else have this issue?

since tmp is the only lucky one here with a k1m that allows ringtones on HIS phone, just woundering if anybody else is having any luck???

when you push command and say check time I THOUGHT my K1 used to tell me the time and date but now it just displays it which does'nt make sense because the display is on the screen would someone else pls check theirs

Will the K1 ever support/software upgrade wireless bluetooth stereo headphone like the chocolate?

Has anyone been able to find a way to sync their calendar with outlook on the Krazor? Sprint is not sure if it works.

I bought a copy of Motorola Phone tools v4.3.6c on ebay. It took a while to update to the 2 latest updates. Motorola doesn't officially support this for Sprint however they were kind enough to spend an hour on the phone with me to get it to work with a cable or bluetooth.

The Sprint version is very picky - it takes time but it will work.

You can sync Outlook contacts and calendar easily. You can also upload ringtones without the goofy business of sending a text message with an attachment to yourself.

This is $10 well spent.

Hint: The cable doesn't stay connected for long - there is a bug in the programming. Bluetooth actually works best without any problems on my IBM T43. Have fun 🙂

I have a KRZR K1m and everytime i try to put an MP3 into the phone it automatically places it in the mp3 player list. How do I get the choose the MP3 as a ringtone when people call?

I follow instructions per "tmp" and got the mp3 saved into "save sound" but can not get it from there into "my ringtones" Any suggestions?? Thanks!

I finally broke down and bought a new KRAZR K1M. It seems like a pretty good phone so far, but those red bars really are terrible looking and down right stupid. If Verizon wants to use a standardized User Interface to make their own tech support easier, that makes sense. Having those bars stand out in bright red is just plain designer stupid. There would be no difference at all in their support costs if the bars could be in a less obnoxious stand out color. Just stupid push marketing in my opinion. They really are killing the golden goose with their arrogance. The other carriers will catch up in network coverage, and then there will be a lot of ex VZ clients moving away out of pent up resentment.

I'm no tech-noob, but I normally spend my money on things other than phones. My fiance recently bought my a KRZR k1m for Christmas (they accidentally shut off my old phone which is the reason I got it early) and I'm looking for what program I need to downloading skins/themes/etc. onto it. I can sync mp3's with no problem, but I don't know what format the skins need to be in, or where to get them, or how to make them...

So if anyone could help me get my foot in the door I would really appreciate it.

I am trying to lower the call volume on my KRZR. If I set it to low it is no softer than high. I have it set to ring and vibrate at the same time. This is major pain; my coworkers are tire of hearing my phone. Is this a bug with the Verizon software, my phone or the KRZR? It also has a tendency to freeze when adjusting the volume, it will hang and reset. Any suggestions? Should I take it into service or wait for a software update? Thanks.

I need a new dark grey battery cover for the K1m for verizon, and I can't find one online. Anyone know where to get one?

Whenever I use the speaker, the caller on the other end gets an echo of their own voice -- most say its so bad, they can't follow the conversation. I listend to it myself and it is pretty annoying. Anyone else have this same issue? Might it just be a bad phone?

I sync the pictures through Windows Media Player...

* the PC/Phone say it the sync was successful
* my phone memory goes down
* in Windows Media Player, when browsing the phone, it shows the pictures
* browsing through My Computer to my phone there is a Pictures folder with the pictures in them


but when I disconnect my phone, there are no pictures.

where do my pictures go once I sync them?
