MotorRZR K1m

BOTH PHONES ARE EQUAL KZRZ K1m and SLVR L7c just the design are different.

Ok everyone. Just did some checking and this is coming from the supervisor at Verizon. The SLVR L7c projected release date is December, and they did not have any release date for the KRZR K1m as of yet. All those who talk to the sales people at the stores, do not listen to them because, Verizon stopped informing them of any new phones coming out, because they blab it out to their friends and their friends tell other people. So there ya go they do not know. It's a matter of wait and see.

Missing features.

No stereo bluetooth? No stereo speakers? Man it looks like it will be a while before a phone comes out that's better than the LG8300.

Motorola KRZR K1m

Although The SLVR L7C is suppose to be released in December, The KRZR K1m probably will be released at the same time and or they both may be released before the Holidays as a promotional sales pitch. So again lets just wait and see. I can be wrong and or that supervisor could be wrong or we both are, we will see with time.

hopefully alltel will launch it so we can all hack it to have moto's ui. unless verizon decides to keep the moto ui. but i doubt that will happen.

Other than the form factor, why would anyone get this over a V3m?

To me this is just a repackaged V3m. They both have 1.3 megapixel cameras, microSD memory card slots, 176 x 220 pixel screens and music players. The only difference is the touch sensitive music controls on the outside of the phone. The Motorola V710 was released 2 years ago (August 2004) and it had a 1.3 megapixel camera. They could have at least included the 2 megapixel camera that's in the GSM version. If this one had the A2DP stereo Bluetooth profile, then maybe it would be worth considering. I'm curious to see how much of a premium Motorola/Verizon are going to charge for this phone over the V3m.

Handsfree Question

I've never owned a RAZR or KRAZR for that matter. I've tried the bluetooth on my blackberry and people complained that there was too much static (although I didn't hear anything). I am a HUGE fan of the "wired" handsfree from plantronics, but will it work on the KRAZR? I've looked at my friends RAZR's and I don't even see where you could plug it in....is there an adapter or something I'm missing?

Availability/Pricing

At our indirect Verizon store were hoping that this thing is at least $250 because it is going to be a hastle to get these from the wholesalers who will probably offer them to us at $400+. You already know the web site will have online discounts and the ability to waive activation fees. DAMN corporate Verizon.

p.s. The Chocolate is wholesaling at about $375 right now just so you have an idea

features??

So... a couple of questions...

1). Is the 16bit color (vs. the nicer 18 bit found on my V710) going to make a big difference?

2). Does anyone know whether this will be able to sync with a pc (eg. outlook) via USB or bluetooth?

Thanx.

Motorola KRZR K1m

😁 Well at least the KRZR K1m is real and will be coming out. The K1 is strictly a Asian model at the moment and will not be a Verizon phone.
Now as for a release date on the K1m....it is unknown. I checked out the story about being out on the 12th of September with a friend that is a manager at the verizon store at Circuit City, and as far as he knows they do not know when they will recieve it. Nor do anyone at Verizon knows, so the only info is, it might be out in the 3rd quarter. But like said it will be out and not like the elusive LG VX-9900 that so many people are excited about from just seeing the back of the phone and numbers on it. So everyone lets keep it real, have patience and judge the phone when it is here.
I hope it is as g...

not as thin as RAZRs?!?

if this is supposed to be an upgrade, why is is 2 mm thicker than the RAZR V3m? It might be just me, but if you are updating a thin phone, it should at least be the same thickness, if not thinner.

im not dumb i kno its narrower, but thats probably because its 2 mm thicker.

Availability?

Anyone have any idea when Verizon Wireless will make this available? It looks like it will be before the end of September but I was wondering if it would be much sooner.
