should go right to ringtones make sure the file is a mp3 I had some files I coverted to mp3's and still transfered as another type of file.

Yeah, the file types are mp3. Still won't go into ringtones. I tried a couple of times and each time it goes to "sounds" but does not show up in "ringtones". Thanks.

yeah switch to alltel and get terrible coverage.. sounds like fun.

VZW uses Alltel towers here in Omaha. So, I figure that the coverage would be about the same as VZW, due to the roaming agreement. I guess I shouldn't use that coverage map they showed me at the Alltel store.

plz remmeber that the file has to be 20secs no longer or it will go to my sounds, if its 20 secs or less it will go to my ringtones.

All sound files that you want to go into your ringtone folder have to be under 300 kb if not.. than they'll go into the " my Sounds " folder. get it?

Thanks! I will try that.

Yeah! Finally got it to work. First I learned that using hotmail converts my mp3 to some other file type so it goes into "my sound" and not into "my ringtones". Second I learned yahoo does not convert my mp3 file so it goes to "my ringtones" once I save it. Now I do not have to use those LAME tones the phone comes with! Thanks to you who gave great input on this forum!!! 😁
