Hi. I am expecting the Nokia 6585 phone in a day or two. I bought a new, unlocked one from Ebay for $150.00. I have Alltel service and currently have the 3585i phone.
I found info. saying it will work and was wondering if anyone else is using one or has any input on it. I was told it would work on any CDMA carrier including Alltel. Thanks!!

Great news, spoke with my Alltel rep and had her look into it for me. But we will be getting EV-DO by the end of 4th quarter. Now I dont know what phones will be offered but I will assume it will be phones that Verizon has already lunched for their service. Alltel might be a little company doing big things in the future. I would not be surprised if 2 - 4 years from now Alltel will be a nation wide company.

I am in the process of switching providers and am looking at Alltel. I am in Ohio and will be traveling in rural areas for work. According to the coverage maps Alltel has the best overall network. Any feedback pro or con would be appreciated. 🙂

Yea I have the moto v 262 and it is the 10th free trial day. Dont get me wrong I love the phone, its just the screen is a little too small! Umm...You guys got any ideas on what phone to try, I dont know whether to keep it or not! Its got great reception but the small screen is driving me nuts! Any other phones with great reception? Or any new phones coming soon, thnanks

Whats up with the Alltel forum. I carry Alltel but find myself in the Verizon boards becaise they have all the action over there and we have as much action as a virgin with no d*ck. The only person I mustly talk to is nextel18 or whatever his name is and I highly doubt he has an alltel (lol)

Hi I was told that if i bought a verizon phone it would not work because they have a special code is this true.

Ok, I was told by my Alltel rep it will be avaible the end of the month. I was told by customer service the 25th of the month. Has anyone heard word on this matter?

I'm considering a switch from Cingular, and Alltel is the only other carrier in my area that seems to have true nationwide coverage. My SO had Alltel last year but had woeful problems with coverage once they got out of the urban area and therefore cancelled. Their coverage map on the website seems comparable to Cingular's nationwide coverage. Any experience here? Is their customer service any good? Thanks.

Why when you call an alltel customer there is most of the time a clicking noise? somtimes it will click for a full minute before the call conects.

Is there any way you can use the mp3's you saved to your card as ringers for the phone?

I just got done talking to the rep in Northeast arkansas and they said that the new V710s woudln't work in my area. Why would you release a phone that woudln't work in most areas?????I dont understand and is there anyway around this?

Alltel's phone selection has slowly but surely gotten better over the past several months. Does anyone know if Alltel will be getting an even better selection, as they add Western Wireless as one of their own now, that may make a welcome difference.

Hopefully that merger will bring nicer phones and more in the way of flip camera models, which are becoming ever more popular. Any news on what's ahead for Alltel's store shelves, please post your info.

Which one is better...This is going to be my first contract phone, switching from virgin mobile Kyocera Rave 9 and I want to know. It was a good little phone but you know I want a contract. I decided to go with alltel best amount of minutes for your money. But I dont think I can get a camera phone...my mom dont want me too, she thinks there gonna get banned or something, anyway long story short LG LX 5550 Or Motorola 262...

Ok, first of all the main question I have is this.... can you do the Wal-Mart.com trick with ALLTEL like you can with Verizon... if you don't know what I'm talking about - with VZ you can save midi's to your comp from Wal-Mart.com and send them to yourself as a message and utilize them as ringtones.... so.. if it's a universal cheat I'll be sooooo delighted... if not, I'll have to wait for ALLTEL to get on the bus because this company is Verizon's lacky for sure... I can tell you that much... I've been in training for 4 weeks and they've all but come out and said that without VZ their National Freedom pack would be nonexistent... But, for some reason they pay more than VZ does.. So I jumped ship.... Anyhoot - the midi trick is all I have for...

😲 Does anyone know if ALLTEL will upgrade it's businees line of pda phones? I have tried almost every carrier this year. Alltel has the best reception in my house, especially in my basement where my office is.

Does anybody know of a place where I can buy an unlocked CDMA phones. There are always so many websites and indirect dealers that sell unreleased and unlocked GSM phones, but where can I get CDMA phones??? Let me know if you know of anything....please!!!

Will Alltel be getting a new camera phone for a cheaper price then the Motorola V710? Who needs mp3 playback and all that?

The LG camera phone they have is not that good either. It only holds up to 20 pictures, which aren't great quality.

When will Alltel get a good camera phone for less then $250??
