V262 and V265

Are the V262 and the V265 permanently discontinued or just temporarily discontinued until there is a fix.

COMPLETE BONEHEAD

Alltel Rocks! They have launched EV DO as of today in three markets which is three more than Sprint PCS has to their credit! I don't have Alltel as my provider and they don't offer service in Chicago but I do use them on the America's Choice plan with Verizon and would have to say that they are an asset to Verizon Wireless and we the customer of VZW. I commend Alltel for launching EV DO when carriers much larger haven't, try this product if you have a laptop and you will be impressed. I have found that the speeds are much faster than advertised (up to 3.5mps with compression software). I hope that Alltel launches more markets VZW and Alltel customers can start using each others networks. This message brought to you by the Power of EV DO ...

Alltel and advanced services

Alltel is a good voice carrier, but things like video messaging, the Motorola v710 is the only option for now. Like television clips, stronger made phones with outer color displays, and promoting mobile data solutions is something that hopefully is in the near future. Customers and potential customers would benefit greatly.

Is the future of wireless coming to Alltel anytime soon?

V710 same as Verizon?

Is Alltel's version of the Motorola V710 the same as Verizons, unable to use the bluetooth between the cell phone and computers to transfer ringtones and photos? Thanks for your help.

Worst service in American history !!

I live in the Foxcities of Wisconsin. I have been calling Alltel stores in Oshkosh and Appleton since 4:00 yesterday -- non-stop -- and have yet to talk to a human being. During the 5th ring it transfers you to the country-wide number, so I hang up after 4 rings and hit redial. I have tried the Oshkosh retail store over 300 times in the last day. They have not answered their phone once. What a company.......

Nokia 6585 phone with Alltel. It DOES work.

I received my new Nokia 6585 today and the Alltel guy programmed it in 3 or 4 minutes, works great. This is an awesome little Nokia and it WILL work with Alltel. I was tired of the 3585i and this phone is much smaller and better looking. Anyone who isn't into the flip phones buy this one. I got mine new on eBay for $150.00 and there is another guy who sells them (netfreeze) for around $200 all the time.
Alltel does not have many choices, so if you are looking for something better try this one out!

phone compatibility

hello all-
I'm new here, so I apologize ahead of time if this has been posted b4. The phones I'm interested in aren't offered by Alltel and how do I know if they are compatible?
I've looked into the following:
Motorola E1000, Nokia 6600, Siemens SL65, Samsung SHG-E800 and Samsung P777.

Any help is much appreciated-

To T?, or not to T? That is the Question...

I'm currently at Alltel, but I have been at Nextel ATT, Sprint, Cingular and back to Alltel .. but never T-Mobile im going to be going to college in Akron Ohio were coverage is good with all, but for some reason Cingular freaks me out because they have to much power now and can do whatever they please ...

T-Mobile seems like a good bet with right priced phones should I go with T-Mobile or if not Alltel with what other carrier??
Thanks

LG5450 And other camera phones

Ok they are retiring the LG5450 but what are the other camera phones they are planning to come out with?? I think the Audiovox 8910 is a joke and I hate to sell it but we are in an area that we don't have the 710 avaible yet either!! But with the 710 the cost can be probitive to someone who wants a phone w/camera and good reception!! Any input would be great!!

TIA
Heather

Alltel's digital 1XRTT coverage

After checking out alltel.com and seeing that they are starting to offer video messaging in their 1X high speed areas, does anyone know if there is a map of these 1XRTT digital areas for Alltel?

It would be great to see what kind of coverage exists for this nice new feature.
