Yea I had problems with a card reader as well, however my one built into my computer works fine when the card is in the SD adaptor. I just got an orange Env from a friend 2 days ago and was able to take the 4gb out of the 8550 and put it in the ENV w/ no problems.

I have a 4gb in my new chocolate (8550) that works fine. My computer does recognize it though but I use the M.E.K

I would say yes... I have sold quite a few and everyone seems to love em' It is a durable KRZR for the most part(minus music) but is a nice slim phone for a reasonable price.

The 8600 looks nice and that is about it. The speakerphone is horrible!!! Along with that the RF is horrible where I live and it drops like every other call, and to go with all that it has recently been disco'd.

w810i (cingy) is an awesome phone and I never carried my choco when it came out. Not only is it a better phone it was the same price but came w/ data cable, headphones, and a memory card... o yea and a 2mp camera

Cingular makes great phones.. I personally think Sony is beginning to make some great handsets and will carry Cingular's phone lineup... Plus no POS software... hmmm which carrier to cancel?

I have went back and forth with both personally and much rather prefer my en-v. Especially since i do not have to pay the unlimited data.

just as an FYI I read a lot of people saying how the two black pieces by the inner screen scratch easily. Well turns out both the pieces have a sticker on them and once they are off it is just 2 glossy black pieces.

The 8600 is a LG phone and all phones are comparable as with anything nowadays. Also LG announced the 8600 prior to the KRZR it just happened the KRZR got released earlier and as for RAZR it is just a horrible phone that people buy because everyone else has it. Just my 2 cents.

Have done it also... I am a happy camper I missed those BT features from Cingy but all the important ones have been unlocked.

LOL this is funny, the LG reps came into my store and actually have one(VZW) that is meant to get destroyed he hit it, dropped it, opened it flat and hit it, then pressed send all to have it work exactly the same as when he walked in. I have had about every phone VZW offers and have NO complaints on my 8600.

If you wait 6 monthes it is no longer a "new phone" in my personal opinion. I do agree that sometimes there are glitches, but the software gets updated for you anyways and you still have a warranty as well.... WHY wait GO GET ONE ITS GREAT

I dunno, I have a Krzr from Verizon too, and have to say I would much rather worry about the few little things Cingy changed compared to the W600(had one of those too) than worry about crappy software and having Bluetooth blocked

I had the same problems with my 1 GB card and could not figure it out for a couple days. What I figured out is that YOU MUST use media player u can not use a card reader as a device by just dragging songs to drive . So if you sync it through media player you should be fine.

U should be able to fing them.. I thought the same thing it just stores some in a different area. Then once you play it once they will always show up under the walkman

The update is horrible ever since I got it I can not play music without the whole phone freezing.... And yes I had the phone replaced 2 days ago to still have the same BS!

That is for you to decide. The 990 is currently the most expensive true phone offered(and actually costs more than some PDA's) But it does pack a nice package into an average size flip phone.

No there is no service light of that kind. Actually the only external light is the flash for the camera.

ok here you go this is how I get around the ringtone stuff. google funformobile then u get free uploads. Then you download wavepad for free also. Load up the song pick the part you want, go back to the site and they will send it to you as a text message. Costs about 10cents a tone! Also that allows you to have the exact part of a song you want as ringer! :D

That is a little harsh. The pics are decent for a phone. I have had mine for a few weeks and the earpiece is decent also, everyone makes that sound like its awful but I say it is one of Cingular's better phones!

I dropped my yesterday for the first time! It fell hard and knocked the battery cover off and landed on the screen.... Picked it up expecting the worst and THERE WAS NOT EVEN A SCRATCH :D
