I'm thinking of getting the 8550, upgrading from an 8100. I never liked the old chocolate much because of the touch wheel, so I am liking the new navi wheel on the 8550 more. I played around with it in the store, and the wheel did seem pretty easy to use, either spinning it around or pressing the directional keys.

Can you tell me how strong is the vibration on this phone? I tried the 8700 for a few weeks, and ended up returning it because of the weak vibration, causing me to miss a few phone calls.

And how loud is the speakerphone and ringer?

Makes sense. Better logic than the iPod.
My only complaint with the iPod, going in circles to go up and down. At least with an arch, you can use the wheel more intuitively.
I only wonder how it'll fare out for the text messaging crowd.

This one is geared more toward music users, not texters. It'll probably be just like you average phone.

I also like the wheel, especially on the fastest setting.
