The camera alone makes it worth the difference, that along with a more widely available form of memory..

I think it all depends on what you need your phone for. the w300 is a little more basic compared to the w810. w810 has a 2mp camera, vs. a vga. both have walkman features, but with the w810 you get a memory card, w300 you need to buy it your self. over all, both are good phones, but again it comes down to what you need out of a phone.

I had a Sony Ericsson W600 prior to this one ane thought -- oh cool, I am going to upgrade.

Well I bought the Sony Ericsson W810 and it has all the features of my old phone with the added feature of an expandable chip.

After buying the phone I discovered the following:

1. The feature of being able to assign an MP3 as a ring tone has been severly limited, so severe it is not even worth saying you can do it. According to Sony Ericsson, this was a feature limitation requested by Cingular to curb illegal MP3 sharing. Someone tell me, how is limiting the size (which is the way they limit it) of the MP3 going to stop me from sharing ALL THE OTHER MP3s on my phone with others? I can send any song I want to any MP3 capable phone I want ...

Thank you! Just like you I had the w600 and "upgraded" to the w810 because of the better camera and expandable memory. Honstly I dont see a difference in the cameras, And like you said, the 256 internal memory in the w600 was better than 128mb cingular gives you. then when i was really pissed off when I found out you cant use mp3's as ring tones, wtf is thattt? Dont get me wrong, I love the phone, but I, like you dont understand how exactly this is an upgrade, if anything, the w600 is a upgrade to the w810!

I dunno, I have a Krzr from Verizon too, and have to say I would much rather worry about the few little things Cingy changed compared to the W600(had one of those too) than worry about crappy software and having Bluetooth blocked

If you think the w600 is an upgrade to the w810 perhaps you've had a little too much to drink..

If 128mb is not enough memory buy a 1 or 2 gig card. Full mp3 songs used as ring tones only last for about 15 sec. anyway so why is that so important?
