it is real hard to see what the actual coverage of any service. Terain is a big hinderance in coverage. I wish that they had maps like I used to when I worked for a 2 way radio company. It had dots of differing colors telling proper coverage.

just to back up your claim barryefau. The most advanced cellular company in the world DoCoMo uses a cdma network. Plus most of the major companies in Europe are either in the finalizations or are weighing a aggressive decision of cdma 2k it is a superior structure for cellular. believe me everyone will profit from this murger. 1 people will be let out of agreement cause it is no longer at&t and they will seek service else were. ...

they will have to sell of their licenses where they are both the a side and the b side carrier. That is due to the FCC. and they uphold that. New equipment might not be needed for some people but they will probably push people into the new equipment in the near future

both companies rate below verizon in customer service dropped calls waiting to connect and busy signals. Their networks are simular but still different. the merger is not going to give all that much different coverage since they are romming partners anyways. Verizon ! I would be very careful here. i have seen many verizon employed people loose their jobs because of this forum.
1. you should not be using the company resources in any use that is not in the best interest of Verizon Wireless. That includes downtime that you should be talking to customers.
2. Don't give out any privileged or confidential information (hint... everything that comes in a fax or e-mail that is not printed on brochures given to ...

Its all about the "In-network".
thats what Verizon Wireless is coining as their mobile to mobile network. So the new rate plans are giving a special notice to that.

The lgvx-3100 is only a digital phone so if you go to an analog area you would not get signal. Besides that the phone is great No complaints from the peanut gallery yet.

their is a whole bunch of neat programming options in the programming.. It has to be done all in within 10 sec. with no long pause.

OK The verizon PTT works in what is called our 1x network. Pick up a nextel map and pick up a VZW PTT map and look at the coverage area's. They look very similar don't they..

the phone is ota compatible but it has the sid list for sprint loaded into it. so if i do ota it will get the sprint network and that would not work for me...
but if i could get the manual programming and put the verizon network into it then ota. It should work.

that is not true
I have a motorola t720c and I got the bezel from a 730 plus I have the 730 soft downloaded into my phone. I also have the funky fresh 730 faceplates on my phone... you could get the bezel from any tech for a minimal price and use the 730 faceplates.

The samsung phone..... i don't know for some reaso people have really been jumping on the samsung boat..... For the price of most samsung equipment you could get motorola or other equipment with more features and better benefits.
The audiovox 8900 is a great phone nice crisp display good looking design. But 2 problems the ringer and the speakerphone use the existing ear piece. Low quality and sound volume.
The lgvx 6000 is a great phone all of my friends ...

Not too big of a problem. The only problem's I have heard ws the normal things new customers have.....
The initial conection took a tinny bit more then nextel but the conversation after that was the same if not faster.

check out that phone it has a antena almost as bur as the phone..... With a antenna that large you should have enough serfice area to get better signal.

Hey does anyone have a heads up about some of the new rate plans comming out in the near future?
Since I'm an agent of verizon, and I'm just a Senior Account Executive. I only get the trickle down effect. So since i don't get the e-mails showing the new plans it takes like a week for me to get the info. I end up getting the information like a day before it comes out.

nokia sells mostly GSM and TDMA equipment. Verizon is a CDMA service so they can't use either style of equipment.

Verizon Wireless will probably not change to gsm Anytime soon. CDMA 2000 is a more efecient network. Plus Their are even some eastern carriers are looking into the CDMA 2000 network as well.
