Re: help! i cant send media messages or access the internet from my V3 RAZR
go to www.howardforums.com and do a search Lots of info there.
Re: Plz help!! noob questions
You can't.
Re: Cingular and media net
You can lock the web so you have to enter a four digit unlock code to access it. Then you will not accidently connect. Thats what I did.
Menu
settings
security
lock application
the preset code is 1234
go down to web access and lock it.
Next time you try to access the web you will have to type in the 1234 code to access.
No more accidental web connections!
Re: Cingular and media net
yes
Re: One Touch Vibrate/Silent?
Yes, but like he said that makes a noise.
Re: Strange Frequency Noise in Razr Flip
Mine does it too. I may exchange it. I have another week left in my 15 day return policy.
Re: Shutoff fix YET?
Thanks for the tip, but I dropped Verizon today for Cingular. I'll post my reviews after I try it for a couple of days.
Re: help deciding
I have the lg vx-8000. It is a great phone but if I had the choice to do it over I would get the black Razr without a doubt. I may switch to it.
Re: How do you erase RECORD NEW
ok go to menu then
left two times to get it now
then tunes and tones
then 3.Ringtones
then scroll down to the one you want to delete and press the button on the left side that says Erase.
vx8000 is back
I was looking at the Verizon site and they now have the 8k back on the site. I wonder why they brought it back.
Re: Firmware...
Well, I don't know to much about it but I know it's different. When you go to the get it now menu and hit info then memory info it says 1.04mb/ 55.04mb
then
ram 5.09mb
This is different than before. I read somewhere that it divides it up between pictures, videos, get it now apps and such. I don't know exactly. It did fix the save picture problem though, that was my main reason along with a rumored sigal ...
Re: i can hear my voice back in my ear, but not quite an echo...
Try the LG vx-8000. Sound quality is great. Reception in low signal strength areas is it's weak point.
Re: Firmware...
Ok. I went and had version 5 of the software installed yesterday. I had to leave it for an hour and it was ready when I went back to get 50 minutes later, so not to bad. It did fix the problem with saving a high resolution picture after watching a Vcast video. Recorded ringtones may seem a bit lower in volume, preset ones are the same. Reception is the same, I was hoping it would improve. It is ...
Re: 2nd Phone free question ????
Thanks :)
Re: Shutoff fix YET?
I am at like 30 some days. I called Verizon and they told me I'd have to buy the Moto and that all phones they sell have the same signal strength and reception. They said they checked my area and agreed that it is a low service area, a mile away and it works fine. They won't let me switch to a e815 but they offered to waive my early termination fee for all 4 lines I have $175 ...
Re: 2nd Phone free question ????
Where is it at in my account? I looked and can't find it.
Re: Shutoff fix YET?
How were you able to change to the Moto? Were you still in your 15 days? I would consider changing too but I'm at 30 days. I have never had the phone shut off but I get bad signal strength from my house and I heard the Moto has better reception.
Re: Firmware...
Yes, From what I hear... I know with my version if you play a Vcast video and then later try to save a picture you take with the highest setting it won't save. The phone has to be turned off and then back on for it to save a high res pic. I heard the new firmware fixes this. I also heard that the volume for added ringtones is lower with the new firmware. I don't know though. Let ...

Just log in to your account on the VZW site, you can switch ESNs as much as you want...
How exactly do you do that? I would like to switch between the 2 phones I have. Does it cost anything to do?
Re: Sales Status
Chances are they will quit selling it. The 8000 doesn't even show up on the Verizon site in my area. If you want one you would probably have to see if a local Verizon dealer has any in stock. It is a great phone. I have had it for about a month.
Re: MY VERIZON REP SAID IT USES MINUTES
Maybe you don't have the Vcast package that costs $15.00 dollars. If you do then your rep is wrong. I would call Verizon and ask them, or check the website you will find this.
V CAST VPak - FREE FOR 1 MONTH, $15 MONTHLY ACCESS AFTER PROMOTION^

Re: Web Time
I repeat I KNOW it does not use minutes if you have the $15.00 Vcast package!!!!!!!!
Re: Web Time
If you have the $15.00 vcast package mobile web comes with it and it does NOT use any minutes off of your plan.
Re: The E815 Echo Issue
The VX-8000 is an AWESOME phone. The reception is a bit weak in certain areas though. You may want to give it a try if you don't need bluetooth.
Re: I'm already bored of my phone
Try a LG vx-8000 8O :D
Re: Anyone know exchange details? Any Verizon employees know?
I have never seen a dead pixel on an LG!
Re: Mine was made on 7/10 and it creaks like an old house
Take it back and buy yourself an LG :D .

The LG 8000 is superior in every way to the E815, except if you need Blue Tooth and need to liston to music which in my opinion is absurd. The 8000 is a very solid made phon e the E815 is made terrible.
Right on pts I'm with ya 100%
Re: Why do VZW sales people push the LGvx8100
They push LG's because they are better phones.
Re: Without bashing me? help?
I would stick with the LG. I like the 8000 better than the 8100 though.
Re: Internal Screen
I think the LG looks better too.

Dude
Simple solution to that one.
Take your phone down to the verizon store and make them open up fifty boxes if need be until you find a phone that doesn't do that.
Yes take it back and then get an LG vx-8000

There are some pros to the phone like reception and battery, but here are my gripes:
Loose creaky squeaky construction of phone, makes cracking noises as you press the keypad. You can feel the case moving.
Sloppy side to side play in hinge. Mostly felt when flip is closed.
Echo or sound like I'm speaking into an empty 55 gallon drum.
Buzz or crackle in earpiece heard when other party speaks on high notes, regardless of my volume setting.
Dim power key.
Not the ...
Re: Should I trade a vx8000 for E815
Unless you need bluetooth, stick with your problem free 8000. It is a solid phone and works great.
Re: Should I trade a vx8000 for E815
I would keep the 8000. I have heard a lot of people have an echoing problem with the Moto.
Re: Any solutions to the reception issue?
*228 send then choose option 2. It didn't help with my poor reception of the 8000 in my house though. Good luck
Re: 8100 or 8000
I don't know about the 8100, I have never used it. I have the 8000 and I can tell you that it is loud. I have to turn the volume down sometimes because it is very loud. I am happy with the 8000.
Re: Discontinued?
Same thing here. Maybe the 8100 is on its way.
