Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
i can hear my voice back in my ear, but not quite an echo...
(continues)
In any case. I just noticed it the first couple of times. Now, I don't even notice it. I've also heard the echo a couple of times, but only briefly during a conversation. I never considered it a problem.
Just remember that no phone is perfect. I just pick the one with the least problems. And for me, that's the 815... I love it.
Good luck
When using a Jabra 250 BT headset, I hear a slight echo of my own voice.
When using a plug-in headset, I sometimes hear an echo of my own voice, while the remote person hears no echo.
It definitely echoes more than my Motorola Timeport 270c, even when that was used with the same BT headset and wired headset.
Maybe that's what they mean when they say "Can you hear me now?"!

During my testing phase with the phone I noticed hearing my voice through the earpiece as well. I did find out as others have that if I moved the phone away from my mouth just a bit and spoke in a little lower tone it addressed the issue, I have the volume at about 4 or 5. The party I was speaking to could hear me fine.
After using the phone for a week or so I now do not notice it at all (either I got used to it, I adapted, or it doesn't occur, either way it's not an issue for me). I know some phones and/or people may be more sensitive to it but if you can get over it it's a great phone. Best of Luck in your quest.
This is not an echo problem with the speakerphone or BT. I have the Jabra V250 and prefer talking on it to using the handset because of this problem.
I have submitted a problem through the motorola site. Maybe if enough people file problems through motorola site they will look into the problem. Thanks for your input.
