It all depends: If you keep in mind that the 7400 takes crappy night pics but the 5600 takes crappier night pics (btw I tried a low-light photo using an external 35mm slr camera flash and it came out Awesome!) then ask yourself. Do you want to be able to change your phones color at will? (7400) Do you want a rugged-ish phone? (7400) Do you want a sleek-er design? (7400) Do you want photos that you can print out at 4x6 ...

Re: Voice memo
Mar 23, 2005, 2:48 PM
in the Sanyo MM-5600 forum

Sure, it should be longer especially since the phone can store up to 60 min of other voice memo's but I use it often. Whenever someone calls me with a blocked number I screen it to see who it is and if It's someone I want to talk to I answer otherwise I love the fact they cant leave but 18 seconds...if you don't want me to know who you are when you call then you SHOULD be brief! ...

I made it from my "Incredibles" dvd. I shrunk it to a PDA level (for my PDA) and then just did a drag-and-drop conversion from there to the phones supported format. The TV shows and such are from TV shoes I've stored from my Satellite or PC's TV tuner on to the computer.

Short answer... yes. Don't try to transfer anything other than the phonebook with any program currently available at the consumer level. You can also take your old and new phone to a sprint store and they can transfer the phonebook.

If you turn the key-guard off, yes. If key-guard is on, still yes but you have to hold the "call" key on the side of the phone just about the camera key for 2 seconds to temporarily release the key guard BEFORE you can push the side camera button. :)

I think the reason no one responded is because the answer you are looking for: "Guide to Photos" has been covered a couple of times. If you searched for "Photos" from the main forum area you should find some good guidelines and after you tried those, most of the forum members would be VERY willing to provide assistance. No one is ignoring your post. Just a bit unwilling to keep answering questions they think have already been answered ...

Low Light Photo Quality compared to Other Phones
Mar 18, 2005, 1:21 PM
in the Sanyo MM-5600 forum

Many people are asking why this phone takes such poor photos at night. In simple terms, the problem has to do with the number of Pixels being pushed through on such a small image sensor. It wont matter much if it's CCD or CMOS. The image sensor on the Sanyo Phones have all been about the same size but as the resolution of the camera goes up it introduces more noise at lower light levels. If you go back to ...

Try out Cingular/ATT or TMobile if you want your phonebook on a chip. Most of us in this forum were intrigued by the this being one of the first US phones with a Megapixel Camera, MP3 player and a SD slot. Yeah I know Verizon has some too. I mean for sprint. And the 240 x 320 screen... spectacular. Still in a bit of shock that Sprint is lettin us have so much control over our pictures and how we get ...

You didn't set the settings properly most likely. after chosing the 3gpp + AAC general setting you can chose the output quality. You have to chose one of the QCIF settings towards the bottom of the list on the Drag and drop screen. Mono or Stereo don't matter. The ones at the top are QVGA settings and, even though the phone has a QVGA screen the supported video is only QCIF or lower.

I guessin it's because the link didn't paste properly. This one works... I just used it. http://www.nurs.or.jp/~calcium/3gpp/3G P_Converter029.zip also I've uploaded it here: http://s1.youshareit.com/files/1144dc8719 2d49e9eac4ce58617cba49/ It DOESNT take a bunch of steps and the video quality is quite nice. Once you set it for the video format you want to use and a default destination folder you literally just drag files to the white space in the main window. I have Episodes of the Chappelle Show, The Incredibly Movie, South Park and some smaller vids ...

Check your account on-line. If the picture of your phone shows up when you view your account then you should be able to view the video ringers and newer music ringers. They are there. Even though I was able to browse the web and do everything else with my phone it took about 3 days for the phone to be fully set up. I Noticed my device type was blank on the Sprint site. The process I was using (convert from mpeg or avi to .mov then from .mov in quicktime pro export as 3gp) took an hour and a half for one 20 minute video. This takes only 10-15! :D

Nope! Lets Say You have a Cell Phone number that is showing up as the Office phone number in your 5600. (C in 5500 = O in 5600) In the BitPim phonebook entry edit screen you will see the mumber listed with the Dropdown Menu next to "TYPE" set as Office. Simply Change this to "Home" and when you transfer the phonebook it will show up as the Cell Phone number. (H in 5500 = C in 5600) When you change the ...

No they aren't smaller. You have to reduce the Mp4 quality lower than 48kbs to make them smaller. I've been using 32and for som 20kbps and they still sound good. To see the file extension: 1. open up a folder (your My documents folder will do) 2. Go to the TOOLS menu and chose FOLDER OPTIONS 3. Click on the VIEW tab 4. Below the HIDDEN FILES and FOLDERS subsection you will see a ckeckmark in the box in front of Hide Extensions For ...

It should not come up as a video file. Mine did at first.... then I realized I needed to chose "View Extensions" in the folder options menu of WinXP. Otherwise, while it lets you add a .m4a extension the REAL extension is still .mp4 ...you just don't see it (filename.m4a.mp4) When I fixed that the files showed up under ringers instead of video. I use the FOCUS up-loader at sprintusers.com as well. 8)

Did you put the MP3's in the Media folder? You can make subfolders in the existing folders and those will be seen when the card is in the phone. Any folders you make outside of those are not visible.
