I don't see why not and they have video conversion software. I'm just not sure what formats it supports.

How lazy can someone be... Why dont you guys just try to figure it out. I did that with my Moto 710 and the Mpx220... It's not hard to figure it out. Convert it into one file, if it works tada if not try another, and keep trying till you get it. Most likely it will be either AVI or MPEG... Just to help you guys out cause you are to lazy to just do a trail and error...

yup, your right. I'm just starting to get lazy at my old age of 27, i'm sure ONE of you young bucks has figured that ish out already. Honestly, some people really HAVE helped my "rear", i'd check to see who did, but i'm kinda drunk at the moment, which once again resurres the statment, that this all started with..................I'm lazy.

anyways i see that the videos can be saved to the card and when viewed on the computer, they are something like *.g3d...whatever that is. BUT it played in quicktime when watched on the PC.

thats about as far as i got in the investigation process........lazy :-)

Check out this forum for links to some video a user made himself.

I thought it was "neat" to view the video made my the phone but the Staind and sharktale samples listed in that forum made my jaw drop! 😳

I think I peed a little!

Seriously, drag the videos to your media folder (must have about 15MB free for both to fit.) and if you thought the phone was cool before.... well you'll see! 😁

Click below to download a video I converted for the 5600. It takes about 6MB. I also took an episode of South Park at 30mb and I notice that the quality can be quite high and still take up little space.

I believe its an AVI but I am not 100% sure. I suggest you go to www.sprintusers.com and search the forum because I remember seeing a thread on how to get video into your 5600. I believe you need software like QuickTime Pro but I am sure with time someone will post instructions on how to do it with free software.

Here are some links to the discussion. Feel free to browse around. http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.p hp?t=60759&highlight=Video+5600

Hope this helps.

I did try mpeg and it didn't work. And btw some people don't have that much time to do trial and error procedures. I may try it this weekend. I know you can convert files with winamp and some plug-ins for free. Thanks for the link KevC84.

The phone supports:
MPEG4
3GPP2
3GPP

It shows the supported formats on Sanyo's website:

If anyone knows of a decent free program that can convert AVI files to MPEG4, let me know. I want to try to make some screensavers.
