why don't u try to upload the images from the sprint pcs picture site. if u have the images save on your comp. use the free service from sprint to upload the images from the comp to your albums . from there try to upload the images from your phone to the sd card. i'm not sure if u are able to do the uploads from your phone to the card, beacuae i don't have the 5600 (yet!) but i hope this helps.

put the card in the phone first.
under tools/extras choose #7 miniSD then #3 miniSD settings and #3 again create folders

it shouldn't erase your pics.

When it's done switch the connect the phone to your PC in mass storage mode and transfer your pics from the main sd directory into the now created dcim/100SANYO folder

the images should show up then, I use the thumbnail images made by my 5MP camera as images to transfer over and they work fine.

1. 🙂 When you say "It does the transfer for a long time." Do you mean you are indeed seeing the phone as a mass storage device on your computer and, once you try to transfer some pictures, it takes a long time... or do you mean your PC just sits there trying to connect to the phone for a long time?

2. Also tell me some basics about your computer. I'm guessing it is a Windows based machine and not a Mac because you say you connect it to your "PC." What version of Windows do you have, how much memory, How many CD/dvd drives, Hard drive, other storage media do you have connected to your machine.

3. Do you have any other type of digital camera or have you in the past installed some digital camera/ photo software that attempts to auto loa...

ok, what i mean is that when i connect them together the computer does nothing but the ohone sits in transfer mode and says do not remove USB cable and miniSD.

My computer is HP media center. i have a dvd writer & cd writer drive, mmc/sd slot, ms/ms pro slot, smartmedia/xD slot, and compactflash slot. i have never had any other camera or hardware devise of such.

Have you tried removing the mini SD from the camera, inserting it in the included adapter and then putting it in your HP's media slot? I'm betting you've done this since you originally stated you had put images on the card and couldn't see them.

Well your phone is doing it's thing... once the phone is connected and shows the "Do not remove" message, have you tried going to My Computer and looking for a drive letter that didn't previously exist?

I'm not sure how your particular media reader works on your PC. Some make most or all of the slots always active so you'll see drive letters e-j or something but they will be empty. I bought an external reader that does this.

Other readers only activate one (or more) slot at a time and only ...

Don't be so quick to fret! It may not be the answer-all convergence device but, with a little bit of care (and a conversion of an audio or video file here and there) You can have ANY photo, video, Audio you wish on this phone. 😁
