OMFG......like $400+ FOR THAT PHONE UNLOCKED..... You're surprised?????? If you buy if through ATT via a 2 year contract it's $299.99 (minus $50.00 mail in rebate) IF you get the PDA plan with it..... You can, and I can atest to this...... purchase it outright for the OMFG $400+ if you have a 15.99 medianet plan (unlimited) and use it..... The connection point is the same as for phones that don't come with a full web browser...... just don't ...

Jul 30, 2008, 11:18 PM
in the Article: FCC Approves HTC Touch Diamond with U.S. 3G forum

This phone, according to the specs submitted to the FCC wouldn't work on T-Mobile using 3G.... Since T-Mobile has announced it will be using 1700mHZ for it's 3G, this phone uses 850/1900 mHZ 3G which would put it under AT&T's umbrella..... Perhaps, HTC will, I'm sure they are probably negotiating with T-Mobile for their new 3G phones, release a version for the "other guys" too.

Call the stores that sell them & see if that HOLDS TRUE?????? Anybody, with a reasonable BRAIN, would send this garbage back as quickly as the crap came out the box........ Yes it has some nifty stuff, but are all it's limitations, unavailable features(most you find on even basic phones, the abscence of AD2P, etc....etc....etc..... really going to make you want to keep this phone at the end of the day?????? I'll take an N95 ANY DAY TOO!!!!!!!!!!!! The browser can be great if you download Opera Mini(free)............... Google maps is fantastic, & the GPS intergration is great..... It doesn't give you turn by turn, but if you can follow the bouncing ball (apple neanderthals may have difficulty accomplishing this) you can navigate your way to your distination..... I can MMS, text, and do "UNLIMITED" Medianet for less the the over priced web service offered for the iPhoney(iPhone)!!!!!!!!!!! Why this isn't posted in ...

It sounds "Perfectly" like that over hyped, non fully functional piece of crap Apple calls the iPhone....... iPhoney would be a far more accurate description!!!!!!! We wouldn't have to "troll" if they were more realistic people in the world, rather than the "MINDLESS", "NUMB", NEANDERTHALS who actually wasted their time & money on an over priced web-browser!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't own the phone, and probably WON'T!!!! Yes it has some very appealing qualities, but they are far over shadowed by it's inadequacies & things the phone should do, but doesn't. If you're going to tout the phone as revolutionary, it should at least be able to manage what most phones it is challenging can do & add to that..... With this guy, you get some nice savvy stuff, and some real disappointments....... As for a CDMA being ...

I asked this in another thread, but will ask again, hoping to get closier to solving my questions..... I have 3 Motorola bluetooth headsets. HS850, HS820, & H500...... My question, or problem.... with all three headsets......when I answer my phone (incoming call) the callers report hearing a "noise" (electronic in nature) before they hear my voice......... I've tried it myself, uses someones cellphone to dial my own, and answer it with the bluetooth headset, and it's there........ Anyone experience anything similar......or ...

Switchfront, Thanks........... I've actually tried the following headsets (which have worked well on my other phones with bluetooth), Moto HS850, HS820 & H500.... With all three doing the same thing, it would seemingly point to "my phone"......however, I've asked a few buddies who have this phone, and they claim it occurs with theirs as well, but not all the time........ The "noise" is an electronic sounding noise, that appears to be as the phone is passing the call to the bluetooth device......it is ...

Is there anyone using bluetooth devices to answer calls and NOT having the noise issue, if so.......what device are you using???? I need something that has good sound, LONG battery/talk time ...

Great!!!!!! If .wav files can be used, they may also be used for ringtones as well I have a hunch, if that's the case, the only drawback I see, is that the .wav files will be larger than an .mp3 due to no compression......... That, in my book, would make them easier to work with....... and IMHO better sound quality.... I'll give it a try when I get "the phone"...... Thanks, vpu2....OUT!!!!

Re: why wouldn't you share unlock codes?
Mar 29, 2006, 1:38 AM
in the Nokia 6682 / 6681 forum

Being selfish can be GOOD in some cases..... With respect to posting unlock codes, these codes are specific to blocks of IMEI's..... If you get the Wrong Code, enter it more than 5 times "unsuccessfully" (phone isn't unlocked)....it will LOCK your phone, and the only way to unlock it, is with software & a cable...... Be careful......everything isn't quite as simple as it would appear...... vpu2....OUT!!!!

Thanks.......My friend has the phone, I kind of thought it was something like saving them to a certain file.........but didn't really get a chance to play around with his phone for very long...... I also know about the size, I usually cut about a 20-30 sec. clip and then copy that to the directory where the ringtones are kept. On most phones it's sounds or sound clips........ vpu2....OUT!!!!

They will probably recommend an unlimited MediaNet package......especially if you're going to be using the network a lot....... I believe most devices that don't actively synchronize with a network (blackberrys DO) should be able to get away with using MediaNet as data is transmitted over the gsm channel along with voice and sms........... Blackberry's utilize the data channel, and it is added to the accound first, then the voice plan.......... Hope that helps.... vpu2....OUT!!!!

I've had 2 phones with the new firmware...... The first one, had several issues, although I don't believe you can blame them all on the firmware, it could have been one of the "lemons" that are inevitably produced in a product line that is done that way........mass produced that is... The main issue was "white screening", freezing up and resetting itself........the very last time, it was as if the phone was possessed...it white screened, and when it rebooted itself.......it had switched ...
