You'll find that Cingular is NOT offering insurance on ANY PDA or SMARTPHONE. They are not going against their policies (or their insurance carriers policy) with this phone.

I got the 8525 the first day it came out and I have insurance through cingular. You might have to talk to someone else or I might be paying for something that I should be paying for. Anyhow I had no problem adding insurance to my plan when I got the phone.

http://www.safeware.com/policies.php » is a place to get insurance and dont know what rep gave you insurance on the 8525 as they dont cover pda's but if you ever went to file that claim, you would be very upset to find out that they dont cover that phone.
