Questions........

My friend has this phone from T-mobile, I've checked it out, but I'm told the cingular version has more quirks...... like the keypad doesn't light up....... wifi is slower.... can't run applications more than one at a time or you'll run into memory issues.......

If I've left anything else out....please advise in your responses.......

How would you rate this phone........????

Thanks,

vpu2....OUT!!!!

You are right about the keypad....it does not light up. It is a solid unit and there is no backlight coming through. The keys are dark with white letters, so it isn't that big of a deal, even in dim places.

WiFi has worked fine for me. It obviously isn't going to be normal (PC) WiFi speed, but it does what it is supposed to do well.

I often have several apps running at once. The only time I had any problems was when I had about 6 open at one time (before I realized that you had to go in and manually shut down each app).

dclokc,

I'm guessing you have T-mob??????

Another question I had, I've heard that if you get T-mob's unlimited Internet, you can also get unlimited texting, unlimited MMS & my friend says you can use the Wifi for free at T-mobs HOTSPOTS.......is that true as well???????

Last question, some on this forum have bashed this phone for sounding "tinney" to the person who is receiving the call, anyone had this experience?????

I misspoke earlier. I got back home and started typing a text message and the keypad on the 8125 does indeed light up.

I had thought it didn't, but I was wrong. Sorry for the confusion.
