AWESOME!

Jan 15, 2007 by myztik16

I work as a tech for Verizon so Ive seen it all... but I must say I have this phone and I love it. Its been pretty good to me. Few things I have come across with it

a) the backlight will dim, but not completely shut off unless powered off and back on
b) it wont let you erase entries in ur phonebook, callhistory or messaging, without power cycling.

But overall, MUCH better than my previous phones. Other than the 8100 im satisifed with the LG lineup as of late (high-tier, anyway)

The enV also makes it easy to customize.

if you have it, go to www.mobile17.com and you can turn any audio file, into a ringtone, I LOVE IT. So cool, saves me $$ too.. lol.

Also, just a hint to those who use the phone, keep the volume on MED HIGH as apposed to high. You will notice the volume doesnt really increase, but it gets distorted, it will cause the speakers to pop and require a replacement.

Any questiosn about any verizon phone, feel free to email @ iimyztikll @ a o l . c o m

Some EnV-ious, Others Are Not

Yet Another Review from the Phone Whore:

I finally got my EnV. All the Stores in Southern California were flushed EMPTY of the EnV's.

I got to play around with it, and it pretty much lived up to its standards. Except for a few parts * ill get to that in the pro's and cons.* I really like the UI on this and the customizable backrounds in the menu's its fun and fast.

texting is amazing, better keyboard than the T-Mobile Dash, Mda, Sidekick lll, Motorola Q, and BlackBerry Pearl. The Qwerty pretty much is best on market as of now. I enjoy the phone quality and "Stability." I also find the size to be perfect. LG, finally moved the CLR button to its correct spot.
This Phone is very fast, attractive, all calls clear & crisp, recieves all calls, sms, mms, emails right away with no delays what so ever.
I pretty much made the right decision switching back to VzW from Tmobile.

The EnV lives up to its standards and reviews so if you have second doubts on getting this phone, don't because you mostlikely wont regret it.

PROS:
QWERTY
Speed
Stability
Sound
Voice Quality
Ringtones (downloaded or uploaded)
Size
UI (user interface)
Colors/Backrounds
Keys/Keypad inside and out.
Location of CLR , send & end.
Vibrate is rough for such a thin phone.
KeyGuard Does Wonders
Reception (southern california) excellent.

CONS:
Keys on bottom (when closed) seem to be a bit " runned down" meaning they seem to be a bit loose or easily broken or stuck
Speakerphone *when not opened* im used to the 9800 so its not a biggie.
Hinge on Fold seems to be able to get loose quick.
Drop Once and your a goner, call Insurance.

**When Recieving Call & phone is placed in pocket, it might accidentially answer ( if in a club ) or doing something active to trigger the Send key.

That pretty much sums it up on the LG VX-9900 EnV.
Hope This Helped everyone. Good Luck.

Not what I thought it would be

I had the vx 9800 and loved it, except the size. When this came out I wanted it, so I bought it. When I got home I realized that you can't program different sounds for the people who text you, they can have their own ringtone but not text. I really like the size, but I am not happy that I can't find the hardcases for this model.

The enV Proves its Name!

I think this is a really excellent phone! Its a deffinant improvement on the VX9800, i had that before and it was a very good phone but it was fairly thick and the buttons were SMALL, so all the upgrades have been made to this one! The buttons are much bigger and the clear button is in the RIGHT place the screen rez is brighter and better, and its much thinner! The new MP3 player screen is very nice with larger text Its also nice to have so many more options on the front screen and the new dispaly themes are great! A good break from the normal verizon themes with red tabs. At first i thought i wouldnt like the way its hinged and flips open different than the 9800, but now i like it alot better the buttons on the side become inside buttons when the phone is open which is nice, and when its open you can press the camera button much easier when taking a picture of yourself with out covering the lense. And theres a lens protecter yay! That was a major dissatvantage from the 9800. Although sometimes its a little hard to get it open.

PROS:
Big Buttons
Camera
MP3
Thin
Camera Button
Lens Cover
Call Quality
Service Collector!
Volume of Ringtones
Covered charging port
Looks
Feels Solid

CONS:
Screens seem to scatch fairly easily! :( :(
Small inside clear button.

Over all its a GREAT phone, and a perfect improvement over the 9800, I dont know how they can imporve this but if they do it will be an unbelivable phone!

LG Finally Did it With This One

Dec 31, 2006 by jedd530

I got to see the phone about 2 months before it actually came out. So I Was determined to get it ASAP. I wanted the 9800 for the longest time, but then I seen underground photos of its advancer.

PRO's
-solid feeling
-vibrant screens (int. & ext.)
-good reception
-menu icons instead of the usual vzw tabs. but the menu is only in icons when you have the Display theme on "Communicator".
-vibrant & detailed pictures
-Nice loud ringtones when you donwload them
- battery life is more towards the possitive side
-micro sd/transflash card.
-key gaurd for the ext. buttons

CON's
-small ext. screen
-int. screen is deserving you think its big but its really the screen size of my old vx8100 put on its side.
-speakers aren't loud for all songs some come in loud some come in low
-can't really hear yourself when your talking to someone (maybe its because I have the v3m RAZR, and on that phone it was like you were talking on a house phone. You could tell when you dropped a call or the other person hung up)
-a little too compacted.
-icons only while the display theme is set at "Communicator"
-Asphalt Urban GT 2 3D < worst game ever haha
-when flash is on at night and you take a picture there is a little light bubble in the right top part of the corner

I hear alot of people complaining about the phone when its set down that it "rocks". My solution is to put one of thoes peel and stick rinestones on the other side ha ha. I like to put pictures that I took with my 8 megapixel camera and put them on my miniSD and they look fine on the screen. And I Can send the pictures without any problems. I Just need the stereo headphones and I'll be all set. The only con with the Music Player is that it doesn't have a EQ option. My old VX8100 had that option, and that phone came out two years ago.

LG ENv

Well I've had this phone for about a week now and I have to say I'm pretty impressed, I switched over form an 8100.

Pros:
MP3 Player
Camera quality
Lens Cover
Speaker phone
Better UI
overall build of the phone is great
solid
Blue tooth works well
Call clarity seems to be better than my 8100
Qwerty Keyboard is great for those of us that are text message freaks
VZ navigator is great.

Cons:
Not to many here, one I would have to say is that when the phone reads the text messages to you its not that loud, either that or I just don't know how to make it louder, and my last con, is more of a personal issue, I don't like the fact that you cant have the same ring tone u have for someone that calls, be the same tone they have when they text you. My 8100 was able to do that and i heard that you could do that on the 9800 as well, but its no biggie overall this phone is a great improvement over my 8100, I highly recommend this phone to anybody.

EXCELLENT upgrade from E815

OK, I've had this phone for a few days now and I must say I've been a Motorola fan forever however this phone rocks! The inside screen is crystal clear and the menus are great! My wife is so jealous and wants mine already! I am one of those users who just needs to send and receive calls without all the bells and whistles however this phone makes me want to do everything such as pictures, texts and whatever else it has to offer.

PROS: Everything so far about it I like.

CONS: I wish speakerphone could work with the phone closed. Oh well, you can't win 'em all!

LG enV Rocks!!!!!

Dec 16, 2006 by daisy33

I've had my enV for 5 days and in a nutshell:

What I love!!
- Camera takes sweet photos! Awesome clarity.
- VCast library is massive. Found songs I never thought it would have (but expensive).
- Beautiful main screen. Wallpaper is vibrant.
- Navigator is a major plus for the geographically challenged like me.
- Love keyboard.
- Speaker phone is cool. Wish it worked when closed.
- Size is perfect, great holster.

What I don't like!!!
- Get It Now menu on front screen only lists 2 options. Main screen lists 6 options.
- Mobile Web can be accessed only when phone is open.
- Speaker volume for music is weak, but volume for speaker phone is powerful.
- Email can't be accessed with a touch of a button, unless it's VZW email.
- 12 Ringtones that come with phone are awful! Not all VZW applications offer Free trials.
- Camera auto-focus is slooooow.

The phone serves its purpose which is fine by me.

Wow!

Dec 11, 2006 by HotLongLegs1978

Coming from a RAZR, all I can say really is WOW! I like everything about this phone. I had the 9800 when it first came out and returned it within the 15 days because it was just way too big. Well, although the 9900 is larger than regular phones, it's not too big. It's very comfortable in the hand, and all works as it should. New themes are nice too. Again, I can just summarize how I feel about it by simply saying......WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
