Tiny Phone

Jul 25, 2006 by outrageous320

I purchased the Cingular version of this phone and I must say that this phone does it's job well. Every call I have made sounds crystal clear and I haven't had a dropped call yet. The screen is really bright and the keys light up with a nice blue hue. It takes a while to get used to this keypad. My thumb hurt after sending a few messages and the navi key's ridge is really sharp. For those of you with big hands concerned about the key size, don't worry about it. The keys will work with any size hands, its the pressure to push them down is the problem. The menu is pretty easy to use, just make sure you reorganize it to your liking so you don't have to keep scrolling with the navi key. One thing that I miss about having a separate menu key is using the center button to select a function. All selections must be made with the left soft key. The games are simple, but really fun. There are only 3 wallpapers and the cingular one shouldn't count as one because the only thing that changes is the color of the background. There are many monophonic tones, but they all sound the same. I keep my phone on vibrate so that isn't an issue for me. The phone does not have the option to vibe and ring at the same time. This phone is a steal for 30 dollars. If you are looking for a cheap replacement phone, grab this one. I am really impressed with the quality of this phone. If I could change anything, I would change the keypad because it hurts to type text messages.

Bottom line: Great phone.

Good

I just got this phone for Cingular Gophone. This phone is good with good features.
The Sound Quality and Signal Strength is good where I am in Western Maryland.

PROS
1. Good Sound quality
2. Nice color Screen
3. Cheap Price
4. Good Reception
5. Good Sound Quality
6. Small
7. Cool Look

CONS
1. Small Screen

This is a great phone with all the things you need for a basic phone but if you are looking for a camera phone with all of the bells and whistles this is not for you.

BOB award

Dec 12, 2010 by Infernalaffairs

I award this phone the BOB award. Best of basics, for being well built, for being the most durable phone in the entire world. For always being able to pick up a signal, even in the most unlikeliest of places. For having the best battery life I've ever experienced in a phone. And for being available through tracfone, and for having double minutes for life that makes the children buying their own minutes viable.
This phone, along with tracfone's family value plan, has allowed me to furnish three ladies in my house with phones, and enough airtime, to be able to phone me if they need. For any other use of the phone, they have to sort themselves out. Granted the eldest doesn't think much of my choice, but that's fine because it's not an iPhone like she wanted. And I know, that what I expect from a phone is the basics, and to be slightly more endurable than your average phone.

Motorola C139

my first review is below this one.......this is later down the road.

Pros: still living, battery still is great

Cons: small, becomes annoying, kinda embarrasing being in high school.

i got this phone june of 2007. i cant complain. its still alive and working. its gone through alot. falling, smashing, whatever got thrown at it. it was great at first b/c i didnt care what it had. all i needed was texting. i just got a Kyocera Strobe from my friend and it outranks the Moto all together. The Moto is basically in shambles but I still use it. Still got minutes on it. Basically, if you want something small but productive, still get it. Great for a first phone and for kids. Tracfone has little to be desired. Maybe thats why it became annoying. Too costly. I'll keep it just as a backup.

Yes, It's Great. Fantastic reception.

I'm giving it a 5 because it does, EXACTLY what it's supposed to do. I get freakin AWESOME reception with this phone. I have another service provider where I can't travel with my phone so I use this one with TracFone and I love it. I literally get reception EVERWHERE I go. I can always send AND receive my texts, so that's great too. It also has this paddle ball game that I'm addicted to. Doesn't hurt! O and it's loud as hell too! No I'm serious, I can hear this phone ring from a mile away, but it has other sound options of course.

Well

My friend Eric has this phone. It is his first, and he likes it a lot. I don't own it, so I can't say much, but I've used it and it wasn't too bad. Judge the phone by comparing its features to its price. It's probably worth like 1 dollar, but it's the most basic phone I have ever seen. If you're looking for something that lets you talk to people and do nothing more, there you go.

THE best phone for adults. Period.

Apr 1, 2008 by tlcfargo

FACT: There is no cellphone that equals the C139 's

* ability to receive calls,
* battery longevity
* durability

Isn't that what adult users need most?

And if that's not enough, there are few cellphone that surpass the C139's

* audio clarity
* compact size

No wonder Cingular discontinued it. Why would you buy a "newer" phone? I know: you've just GOT to take pictures, or play your MP3s, or check your MySpace post, or watch that Transformers DVD, or....or.....how do they say it?...."Whatever"....

I am one of those whom had every cell phone and cell company. I thought I would try Tracfones, Net10. I must say Im hooked. No contracts and great coverage. As for the phone. It is pretty solid.

Pros

Outstanding battery life
Good reception
Keypad is solid

Cons

Screen a lil small, but who cares.

No mo' contracts for me !
