Like vs. Dislike
How can there be so many extreme differences of opinion? The reviews are all really good for this phone but then some of the posts on the forum completely trash it. What is the reason behind this? Is it because some people are so used to bad phones that an average phone seems great? or the other way is that people(like me) are used to well made quality phones that an average phone seems terrible? I really want to know.

it could be both, i personally have almost always had problems with moto, and almost never with lg.. they could be fairweather fans, lol....

I switched to this phone from my V3c and to me I love it. I hated my V3c. Moto really dropped the ball with the Razr. The reason i switched to the LG is the fact that I used my friends for a while and loved it. Im not in love with Verizons platform but with the 8600 its a lot better.

Yes, I hate Verizon's UI, luckily I am rolling with a 700w right now, but unfortunately its a POS. I want to go back to regular phones that dont cost $50 for internet. I also want something nice that will fit in my pocket...
I am deciding essentially between the krzr and this 8600. I am eligible to upgrade tomorrow. I guess if one sucks I can go with the other.

I tend to ignore most reviews that are 100% extremely in favor of anything and reviews that are 100% bashing...
Just like politics...99.99% of extreme statements...in my opinion...are worthless.
I figure that if someone comes on here and completely blasts the 8600 saying it is a Piece of BLEEP, that opinion is not worthwhile because they are most likely stating that what THEY PREFER is better in their opinion...but, let's face it, the phone is a decent phone...most phones are decent phones...so completely bashing it makes that person's opinion worthless to me.
The same thing with someone that states it is the absolute best phone in the world...everything is perfect...etc...

You stated exactly what I was thinking in your reply. Basically, it's all a matter of opinion and what you feel is it important to you in a cell phone.
Also, you may have read the manual by the time I responded to this, but just in case.... In order to turn on your speakerphone, once the call connects, press the TOP half of the right button on the SIDE of the phone, next to your display. Hope this helps. 😎
