Release Date and VZW
Hey guys,
I am new here, first of all. I have been reading all over the net that this phone will be released tomorrow (Wednesday November 15). I called VZW and they say it wont come out for another week or so and hasnt even arrived at the stores yet...whats the deal?
Also, since I am new here, how are you guys getting these phones so early?!

I just called my local store here in Delaware.. they say it will be available tomorrow morning.

I just called customer service and the lady said the phone is in. but b4 i could ask when will it be on the website to order she hung up lol.Kinda surprised they didn't advertise it like they did the krzr, the v, and the 8500.

I stopped by the Boulder, CO Verizon store - they not only told me it would be out tomorrow, they let me have a look at one. Couldn't make a call on it, but got to play around with it a bit. Wondering how reception will be - it was only showing 1 bar where my old V710 showed 4.

I think that old Motorola UI had the RF Indicator stuck on 4 bars all the time anyway. LOL.

I have talked to customer service twice, two different salespeople at my local store 9(Indiana), and two salespeople at an authorized agent and none of them know when it's coming out. Kinda annoying how everything else knows the date or somehow already have it. 👿

I know. It is upsetting. Some of them seem kind of short when I start asking about the phone. Any suggestions? Are you talking to customer service at each individual store, or a nation wide Cust. Serv.? I am in Cincinnati, and I see that the theZ in Indiana is having problems too, maybe released later in the midwest?
Also, do you think its worth it to upgrade from the V3c to this phone...I do not like my Razr.

I called Customer Service on Monday and tried to buy it. Apparently, at the final step of the process, the system would not allow the rep to actually process the sale, so she told me I'd have to wait until the 15th. Early this morning, I went online, signed into "My Account" and bought the phone without a problem at full retail ($249.99, cheap!). By the time I arrived at my office a few hours later, I'd already received email informing me that my order had shipped, so mine is on its way and will probably arrive tomorrow. So this phone has definitely been released at least in the Northeast. I don't understand why you would not be able to purchase it online regardless of where you are. Hang in there & try again. 😉

Online orders are not all shipped from the same warehouse so if the Northeast one has it, then you can get it there.
