*Euro version to U.S. compatibility*

Hi everyone, I am currently in germany studying for a semester, and I bought a chocolate, with the intent that i would be able to bring it back and use it in the u.s. The guy i bought it from assured me that this would be possible, but i'm still slightly wary because, i mean he was trying to to sell me a phone. The phone itself looks slightly different from the american version, (the front buttons look like the korean version) but other than that i'm pretty sure that it is the same phone, other than the fact that it is known as the KG800 over here. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was anything i needed to do before it was possible to use this phone in the us, if i can only use this phone with verizon service, or just anything i s...

Actually, you wouldn't be able to use it with Verizon because it is a GSM phone. As far as using it with a GSM carrier, I don't know.

I actually don't have verizon, I use u.s. cellular. Im completely willing to change carriers, a. because i paid nearly 350 dollars for this phone and b. my contract w/ us cellular was about to run out anyway. any suggestions? what providers use gsm? sorry im just completely in the dark here and i really dont want to have wasted all that money on a phone, or have to sell it on ebay, because i love it very much.

Yes it will work here (GSM) i know as ive tried it here the GSM is better in my opiinion just no card slot. Anyway when u come to us i recomnend either cingular or t-mobie if u live in west coast go T mobile if easty go cingular. Use the GSM choco and dont sell it u wont get 350$ no more3 than 300
