Is there a way to turn the ENVDO or how ever you say it off so that its just a standard CDMA phone? I know i could do it with my old one just not sure about his one...

I heard it saves on battery life......

i asked the same question. just go to the menu, hit 0 like 7 times, go to network select, then go to mode perfrence, and select 1x only.

just a question if anyone knows? If you set your phone to 1x only will it still pick up in non 1x areas? Some of our extended network does not have 1x coverage?
