Someone please tell us about the new Flash UI!
Looking for a review on the new Flash user interface... is it still the same cheesey UI on my Verizon RAZR or did corporate finally realize how tacky the existing UI would be on such a nice phone?

The UI on the phone is good. Its fairly fast, responsive, and intuitive. It does take some getting used to though.
I feel like the phone/UI is lacking in some customizable areas (keep in mind ive had the phone for about 4 hours, so i may just have not found some of these things yet). For instance, it doesnt appear to have a vibrate, THEN ring function. It'll ring and vibrate at the same time though.
In terms about the UI's look and feel itself, i like it overall, and better than the older vz UI.

omg... talk about picky.... doesnt have vibrate then ring.... but it has vibrate and ring at the same time.... omg.... i never knew someone could be so picky about how a phone vibrates hahahahaha 🤣

Actually, vibrate then ring is a great feature because it allows you to leave it on vibrate all the time and still attend work meetings, etc. where you don't want to hear anyone's phone ring. Because of the delay, you can feel it vibrating and reach down and press the side button to ignore the call, and do so before any ring sound occurs. This is so much more convenient than having to remember to change ring modes when you go in and out of such an environment.
What I've found as a solution is to modify a ring tone file so that it has a leading 10 seconds of silence. Then, with vibrate *and* ring you get the desired effect.

Hey! Thanks for the tip--I bet I wouldn't have found out about that before...and now that's defenitly going to help with that problem--which now has a solution.

There's a really good program called "Audacity" thats free and is EXCELLENT for messing with mp3 files. You have to download a separate plug-in to export mp3 files, but very simple to install.
I used that, cropped a full song file on my comp, put some silence at the beginning, and used that funformobile.com site. Worked great! Thanks to whoever posted that before.
Also, fyi - when you do this, the file has to be smaller than 350kb or your phone might not receive the file. Otherwise, you just save the file as a ringtone and you're good to go (and not for $2.50 like verizon would want to charge you....suckers!)
