Hopefully they won't disable factory features like the Alarm clock function, rather improve things, maybe make adjustable font sizes.

First I called Verizon Tech support and they confirmed they was a new vewrsion out, bu they could not find it on the Motorola site. He suggested I go to my nearest Verison store for the upgrade. I drove 50 miles round trip to my nearest Verizon store only to be told they did not have the Version: NEWC_01.09.02. and that he didn't think he would have it until Jan 07.
The verison on my phone now is 1.05.0a. What does 1.09.02 fix?

Regarding your concern, as the software version NEWC_01.09.02 is going to be available for verizon V3M phone, we do not have the technical specifications so far. For further information about an update you may have to contact Verizon technical support (Verizon Wireless Customer Service 1-800-922-0204).
