Battery Saving Tip

Aug 4, 2006, 8:03 AM
Been VERY disappointed with my battery life, it's been maintaining a charge for less than 24 hours. Found out why last night.

Turns out since I get virtually no Verizon signal at my home, it just hunts and hunts all night for a better signal, sapping the battery.

Verizon tech advised me to power down when I know I won't have a signal for an extended period of time (like overnight). Because I don't get a signal, I don't use the phone at home anyway, so it's no biggie.

If you want the phone to work as an alarm or just as a clock, put it into 'Airplane Mode' which will turn off the radio. It certainly won't hunt for a signal. 🙂
