"Unable to Charge"

I've posted a ferw times about the astoundingly poor battery life. With a full charge, I use the phone - literally - maybe 15 minutes a day, without Bluetooth. The next morning, the battery is dead.

This morning, I get an error message, "Unable to Charge." Moto rep advises me to go back to the point of purchase (Verizon store), it's either a defective battery or a defective phone.

My question for this group is, has anyone had this issue, and waich was it, a defective battery or a defective phone? I don't want to go back twice....

Thanks!

OK, I went to the Verizon store last night with an "Unable to Charge" error message. I was told by the Moto phone rep that it was either a defective battery or a defective phone. It was neither.

Turns out, sometimes if you plug your phone into a charger that's already plugged in, the charger will give the phone a minor power surge.

Verizon tech said, if that happens, just pop the battery and it will reset.

I asked if I should just unplug the charger from the wall briefly before charging, so the surge doesn't even happen, and he said, "Well, yeah, that is actually better, it'll cause fewer problems down the road."
